Anyway, the only thing I would change about Tangled is the end. I would have like a nice wedding finale and/or heavenly chorus reprise of one of the songs.
I know. I just would have loved if you had read it, but maybe you didn't even know I made it. Hopefully you also think Tangled should be called Rapunzel at least.

(At least on the DVD side) the current special features were lackluster, for a movie that's been in development for years and years. I'd love to know more about how the story has evolved over time. And for such a popular movie, I'm sure it would sell very well!
Do you think Disney are saving material such as that for a special edition release ? Or could they simply not be arsed .... ?

....the latter seems more likely :(

I think that Disney are uneasy about showing all the trouble any of their productions have had, mainly if they are modern productions. That would be the reason I would think they would withhold all the info. However, I do think they may allow showing more in the future...the question is, would they even suggest that the film was originally going to be called Rapunzel, or Rapunzel Unbraided, until, like, a decade later? I don't think Disney will give out such more in-depth information until a decade or so later as it seems to have been with all their films. I mean Black Cauldron still hasn't gotten enough history on its releases.

Of course the right thing to do would be reveal it was to be called Rapunzel almost all the way up until the film was finished...and the even more right thing to do would be change it back.

My girlfriend and I will be seeing this tomorrow evening.

ALSO, I don't think I mentioned this before, but they actually sell air lanterns at one New Age Creations store at a local mall.

Oh, my new avatar just got delivered to my computer!

Also, there's quite a lot of merchandise over here that has Rapunzel on the packaging instead of Tangled, and the UK was one of the countries where it WAS called Tangled theatrically. I think people will be able to cotton on to the fact it was called Rapunzel first quite easily.

Can you describe what the short was like :D :D
It was a lot like the movie, but when Pascal and Maximus go after the rings it kinda has the feel of a Donald Duck or Goofy short. :D

The first line of the movie is hilarious. Its a varation of the first line from the movie. :D

No, I didn't know you wrote it until you told me, so I read it yesterday.

Honestly, i'm indifferent towards the title change. On one hand, yeah it would have been cool for it to be called "Rapunzel" just because that's the name of the original fairy tale. On the other hand, i'm glad it was changed for many reasons. For starters, I wrote a killer thesis mainly because of the name change gave me a great idea for a topic, so I have Disney to thank for me graduating with double honors distinctions (I know this is sort of a selfish reason). Number 2, I know i'm going to offend someone but can you imagine how many guys would feel weird saying they are going to see "Rapunzel"? I know, I know, I sound awful, but it's the truth. Again, no offense but that's just how I feel.

Argh! I can't believe they stuck this before Beauty and the Beast to force me to pay 12 bucks to go see a movie I just bought for the 3rd time!

I wonder how the short will find its way to DVD/Blu (if at all; still waiting for that Goofy How To short).

Someone has posted the full thing online. It's not in the best quality, since it's in 3D.

Does the Queen's voice sound a little odd to people? I imagined her with a British accent.

Woah! The queen spoke! And the voice didn't quite go with her design!

Other than that, that was some funny stuff. :)
