Wow . . . I haven't updated in a while. But then again, I haven't drawn much since the summer. Too much going on, too much stress, too many distractions. But after finishing up some coloring work last night, I was quite the insomniac with my urpy stomach (not sure if it was morning sickness, nerves, or just something I ate) and came up with this:

Image

I originally posted it at dA, let's see how long such controversy lasts.

As for the previous piece I posted, the sales helped make the trip back home a success. Thanks to all who looked. :)

awesome as always.

But why would that pic spark controversy in DA? I've seen way worse shit and fetishes(not to mention them being quite shitty too) on that site that make me facepalm hard.

Thanks!

And well, it's because the mods are idiots. They've removed many images similar to this one in the past because according to them, it's a depiction of a minor in a sexual situation. Check out this old pic I did:

Image

The mods removed it from my gallery because someone reported it as a violation. You see more skin on her in the actual show! I reposted it like this:

Image

Apparently it's the bunny tail and ears that piss them off; this version has managed to stay up in my gallery for years. Back then you could post all the Shego bunny pics you wanted, but the moment you posted KP like that, you could expect to have it taken down. Artists like SFToon actually started panicking at the time, removing anything remotely pin-up-looking of KP in fear that they'd get banned like Levelord did (although the ban ended up being temporary). I'm hoping the situation's calmed down by now but who knows.

Jesus fucking Christ. Minor my ass. I've seen cartoon loli in bondage on that fucking site. Whoever report on you is:

1. A jealous girl who is insecure about her own body and/or a feminist.

2. Kim possible fan whore who object to anything that taint her images

3. and love sucking mod's cocks hence being able to get them to remove it.

Love that Bunny Kim! It doesn't get anymore gorgeous than that! Yeah, the censorship on D.A. sucks! And I get tween trick or treaters in MUCH worse costumes than that! Ha. Anyway, as you know, I had some Pebbles Flintstone art and an Ariel piece taking down for similar silliness. With the Ariel one, not only could I have been drawing her from Little Mermaid 2 in theory (of course, I wasn't, ha), but she's practically naked through half of the film aside from the seashells! In my drawing, she was just laying on her belly. What's so suggestive about that? *sigh* I've completely avoided sexual situations with my nude and almost nude art, of which I hardly post any. The only exceptions are the catfight pieces that I only do as commissions (since I'm not really into catfights myself), and on D.A. I have to plaster them with those censored labels too if they were initially depicted as under 18. *sigh*

Yeah, deviantArt is stupid like that. If a fictional character starts out as a minor, according to dA they're forever limited to being one. Doesn't matter that KP graduated in the series, that Pebbles got married and had babies, and that Ariel is the mother of a 12-year-old. And there's all sorts of fans that think they should be the righteous watch dogs. One of my friends posted KP in a white bikini, and it was taken down because they thought the color white implied underwear (she was outside sitting on her car). When he changed it to a light blue and reposted it, they left it alone. And for the most part they leave anime characters alone.

But thanks! I haven't drawn her in a while and I'm kinda happy with how it turned out. :)

And, as we all know, minors never engage in sex and are not fysically mature either. And as long as one is 17 years old and 364 days, it's filthy and gross to look at them in a sexual way, but once one has one's 18th birthday, it's not filthy and gross anymore...

Beautiful artwork, E.!

And not even fictional characters are safe! Oh well.

And thanks! :)

Here's a new one to match the latest, the less controversial Shego . . . :p

As for Shego, yeah, she has a huge fanbase of guys who find her super hot. I don't really know why, maybe it's what's her name's voice, but I have never been able to get into her. Except when she's in her good-girl form. Miss Go, I believe she's called? So much of what I've seen of Kim Possible has just been pieces of episodes and random whole ones, so I don't even know the whole story of Miss Go, honestly. I am a huge fan anyway and have all the DVDs, but I haven't even watched them yet, ha. Actually, I don't have the second compilation DVD, I forget what it's called. With shows I have a tendency to want to see them all from the beginning, so I need to get those exclusive season sets... Of course, in Enigmawing's art she is super hot. Pretty much anything by E.W. or Jab is yowza, no matter who the character is. There are a few other artists like that, but those are the only two whose names I have memorized. On the contrary, you have well-loved artists like Zimmerman who, in my opinion, ruin just about every character they touch by making them all look ten times more extreme than Jessica Rabbit in every way, ha. I mean, they've got skills, but they make every character waaaay too off model and looking the same, which is completely some body type they happen to adore. Maybe most artists do that when they have their own style, and we just like the ones who do the body type we like ourselves, I don't know, ha. If that's the case, EW and Jab have similar tastes as me, ha. I'm kinda rambling right now, sorry. I am all hyped up from watching Scott Pilgrim twice in a row.

zimmerman the one who draws cartoon gils in pencil with huge fucking knockers right? Yeah not interested in his shit either.

My three favorite pin up type girl artist is Jeff Scott Campbell(who's art hugely and directly influence my own artwork. You can see it if you look into my art thread), Adam Huges, and Reiq.

Actually, ha, back at my sister's place, I have all the Kim Possible episodes from a torrent. Now, I just need the time to watch 'em.

Super Aurora, yeah, that's Zimmerman. The ones you like are really great for sure. I'm less into that comic book style as I am a more animated look though. Besides E.W., Jab, and a few others I don't have the names of memorized, I also just really like stuff that is on-model to the official versions, particularly Disney subjects, Bruce Timm looking stuff, Anime girls (even if they mostly look alike), and the styles that seem to fall in among these looks. In fact, I'd basically call Timm's work somewhere inbetween the Disney style and the Anime style, ha.

Funny you say you're not into much of the comic book stuff as Bruce Timm's is and started his career as a comic book artist. LOL

Bruce Timm also a great inspiration too. His supergirl design itself is a influence to my character Ferrari. The one in my avatar.

I also have anime influence too but much more selective and specified such as:
Masasume Shirow's stuff like Appleseed and Ghost in a Shell
Kenataro Muira's Berserk
Nighttow's Trigun Maximum
Otomo Katsurhiro's Akira
Yukito Kishiro's Gunnm and Ashen Victor
and so forth.

I tend to go for much more graphic heavy manga look that bend more realism in it's detail background and environment.

Ha, well, being more into animation, I of course identify Timm with his DC animated shows more than anything. Ironic that I'm more into animation, as so far the most paying jobs I've gotten for my art have been for doing comic pages, which I still am not that great at, even if I have improved somewhat. But I do use a very cartoony style (which, sadly, is usually relegated to kids' books, which I am one of the few adults who purchases because I just really, truly prefer that cartoon show look).

Oh, man, I LOVE Timm's Supergirl. Love his Batgirl too, and Zatanna from her first Batman the Animated series episodes. Those are my major Timm girls, though I do like Harley a lot when she's not in her make-up. Harley's Holiday, gosh. There is a girl who has done some Cosplay from Harley's Holiday on DeviantArt (saw this YEARS ago), and it was just, wow... But, yeah, my faves are Supergirl and Batgirl, and I think I lean towards Supergirl, with Timm's Superman the Animated Series version at least.

As for Anime style girls, I guess I again like the opposite type. I'm not familiar with the ones you mentioned though. My main girls are Sailor Moon and her friends, Asuka Langley, and countless, similar, cutesy types that, granted, all look very similar when it comes to their faces, ha. I have one hentai DVD, Magical Twilight, which I very much enjoy, ha. I also have a set of La Blue Girl VHS tapes. I have mixed feelings about it, because it's a lot of rape and tentacle stuff, which I hate, but when it's not, it's REALLY good, ha. And for regular Anime, well, I haven't had time to watch any of this stuff, but I have the whole series of Neon Genesis Evangelion on DVD, as well as the Gunbuster blu-ray (with another movie, possibly a sequel), and the Catgirl Nuku Nuku series on DVD, and random Sailor Moon DVDs (plus the whole show off torrents). In truth, the girls are the main appeal for me with Anime, aside from the Miyazaki stuff, which I need more of.

Thanks guys!

Amazingly enough, my KP hasn't been taken down yet. Maybe the watchdogs have lost interest over time . . . there are other shows for the fans to obsess over these days. :p And I can understand why people don't like Shego so much, but I love her just because she's a bitch yet actually carries respect for Kim. :D I find the Emotion Sickness episode utterly hilarious because of her overly-aggressive lovey-doveyness. The deal with Miss Go is that Shego fell back on her child development degree when her family got hit by the "Attitudinator" ray, which turned them into polar opposites of themselves (her family turned evil while she turned good). It was the same weapon that turned Ron evil earlier in the series. So yeah, Shego is actually fully credentialed to be a teacher. :p

Artists I really like include a lot of Disney animators, especially Glen Keane, Freddie Moore, Mark Henn, James Baxter, etc. Bruce Timm is also awesome, so is Dean Yeagle, J. Scott Campbell, Stephen Silver, Chris Sanders, Masakazu Katsura . . . and tons more my mind is blanking out over, lol. Yeah, I personally don't see the attraction to Julius Zimmerman, but that guy's a machine and seems to make a killing with his sketches. I prefer the simpler, cartoonier look myself when it comes to character designs, which can actually be deceptively difficult to pull off well. When it comes to something like Sailor Moon, I enjoy the anime designs a little more than the manga, but I like both for different reasons.

Not much to add right now; I've been kept busy with some coloring for JKR, wish I could share some of it. Oh, and I posted this in the Ferngully Blu-ray thread, here it is again for those that haven't checked it out:

Image

The original kinda scares me so I did some manipulation and repainting for the heck of it. I reshaped, recolored, and repainted Crysta's face, moved a finger that looked broken, partially repainted Zak to simplify his face, and swapped out the background to one from an old FernGully poster that better matches the feel of the film.

I met the director many years ago and he was pretty proud of how the film turned out . . . I wonder how he feels about the official cover. :o

Dean Yeagle is awesome too forgot him. I met Stephen Silver who created the Kim Possible designs.

I'm not big on Masakazu Katsura's stuff but I respect the guy.

I saw that cover for Fern Gully at redbox and thought it was odd looking too.

Yeagle's work is right up my alley too, and, of course, (naturally, since I'm obsessed with Tink and Ariel, and now Rapunzel), I idolize a lot of the Disney guys, like Glen Keane and Marc Davis, and of course Fred Moore (still want those statues of his girl from Electric Tiki). I enjoy Don Bluth's ladies too, of course (thinking Princess Daphne and Kimberly). I'm not really familiar with Masakazu Katsura, but doing a quick search of his work, I really like most of it. Still focus on the cute girls aspect, I do like what I've seen of Chris Sanders' work from his D.A. gallery, even if Nani didn't do much for me in Lilo and Stitch (love it in general though, ha). I LIKE Campbell's art, but again, this gets into a style more in line with what is currently the big thing in comics and has been for a long time now, which is less to my tastes, but his probably catches my eye the most in that style...

Thanks for the info in Miss Go, E.W. Does Shego remain Miss Go through the end of the show, or does she become Shego again?

Yeah, I'm with you on Sailor Moon. I like the Manga designs, but I prefer the Anime ones. And I also have more artists I adore, too many to list. Incidentally, how does Zimmerman make a killing on his drawings? On his own site? Or through Ebay? Or some other site? Actually, I'm desperately looking for tips on a good site for getting commissions. Only thing I have ever been told that works is Fiverr, but people request far too much for their 4 dollars most of the time.
