I really like that picture of Aurora. At stores, it's funny seeing that picture of her looking uncertain about the situation she's in surrounded by stuff of herself and the other princesses smiling brightly. It makes me think of that scene in Labyrinth when Sarah suddenly finds herself in a ball gown in the middle of a masquerade ball and she doesn't know what she's doing there.
Aurora doesn't look uncertain so much as like she's regally, wistfully thinking about something important, lost in some high thought or perhaps just to look like she's better than everyone. lol She and Cinderella and sometimes Snow White tend to look like that, it's how the Walt Disney animators made their princesses.
The reason Disney re-uses the images is because they are lazy and money-grubbing and don't want to pay for people to keep drawing new images of the princesses. They only pay for people to draw new images every once in a while. They make so much princess merchandise, that you notice why they have so few images of the princesses. They know they can sell useless crap with the same old princess images over and over because they think little kids won't notice or care. But some little kids do care and they really should make new images more often.
They also only like to use images of the princesses that they think look good enough to sell these days. There are lots of old images of the princesses that they may not use for today's merchandise because they aren't in the "Disney Princess" style they have established today.
The images you see over and over again of Pocahontas and Jasmine are partly because those are some of their best images and also some of their only images. They don't use Jasmine as much of the other princesses so she has less images and they hardly ever use Pocahontas so she has even fewer images. That Cinderella image you see all the time is just used so much because they feel it's one of her best ones and she looks like an up-standing leader in it. It's usually used in the middle of the other princesses, to show she's kind of the leader because she's possibly the most popular princess, or she makes the Disney Princess line look so regal with that pose and her very regal and princessy hair and dress.

The guys in marketing think straight bright primary colors are more appealing than between shades like her hair and dress would normally be, which is why most clip art is completely devoid of any real personality.
Aurora and Jasmine look cute in a funny way as their villains, but OMG @ Pocahontas as Radcliffe. One of the most unsexy things I've ever seen. Poor thing.
