I Wish Mickey Mouse Clubhouse ends already!

Post by TsWade2 »

Hi everybody,

I don't want to get into an obsession behavior, but I just wish if they just end Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and make tv series for Mickey and friends for everyone to watch. Something classical, you know! I am sick and tired of Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. It destoryed the classic characters and the CGI animation is horrifying! But the worst part of that show is, they made Pete into a good guy! Come on, Pete is a villain for goodness sake. Where's the Pete I know, who was a total a****** (Excuse the language) and always making me mad in the good way? Have A Laugh show is probably a good start, but they need to create new tv series for Mickey Mouse and friends in a classical way. Now we know that Burny Mattison is creating a new hand drawn movie of Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, and Goofy and hopefully will change everything. Hopefully the movie will come in 2014 or up with a good story. And don't you guys dare believe that the new Mickey Mouse movie to be in CGI, because I don't believe it. TAGBlog is not an informational website. DIsney didn't give up hand drawn. They just have two CGI Movies in development and it'll take awhile. I just wish Mickey Mouse Clubhouse just end already! How about you?

No one there said that the 'Mickey Mouse' feature is gonna be CG. Someone just said that the project was currently not in active development.

Both Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and the Have a Laugh segments are garbage. They should just devote at least an hour to some classic cartoons per day, like they did with Mickey's Mouse Tracks and Donald's Quack Attack. If Cartoon Network can bring back Looney Tunes, there's no reason The Disney Channel can't bring back their own classic shorts.

100% agreed.

I actually tried to vote No on this, seem to have a hanging chad issue here.

I think the show is fine. It is aimed at young children and it works. There is no reason they could not do both a classic Mickey and this show. Most of your reasons are nitpicky and whiny, let the kids enjoy their show.

I agree with Semaj, I would much rather Disney give more airtime to the classic shorts. That being said, I like that the show uses classic characters like Clarabelle Cow, Pete and Ludwig Von Drake who I think are badly under-utilised and have been largely forgotten. It might be a blind hope but I'd like to think that if the show helped these characters regain their popularity then Disney might use them better and feature them in new shorts.

With all due respect, Disney should make a new hand drawn tv series of Mickey Mouse and friends. Sorry!

Well, I like Have A Laugh, however, they should of done better than that.

Well, according to a review of one compilation DVD of "Mickey Mouse Clubhouse", shows like "Mickey Mouse Works" and "House of Mouse" had attempted to rectify the problem of theatrical shorts preceding the main features going by the wayside by creating new shorts in the styles of the classics, but the problem is the two gained a bigger following from serious Disney fans than with the general public, whereas "Mickey Mouse Clubhouse" has apparently succeeded where the first two shows had failed. How else can you explain the lack of any DVD releases for those two shows?

Well, no offense, but I think the thread title should have been a big hint.

Hi new here, and yeah agree. Mickey Mouse should back to his old format that created a wide general audience and not just 2- 6 year olds.

Sorry, but the heads of the evil corperation part of Disney will not allow it.I think if Mickey Mouse was real he would probably sometimes take potshots at the corperation part of Disney.Actually I hate it in parodies where they potray Mickey as some corrupt CEO because in my mind he's just the face and doesn't make the decisions. :x

What?! Ah man! Mickey Mouse clubhouse is staying on TV forever! This isn't freakin fair! I know I'm being dramatic right now, but this still isn't fair! I'm going to be very miserable for the rest of my life!

I wanna throw my 2 cents in the ring; Like Baby Looney Tunes, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse is targeted for kids and Looney Tunes and Disney characters have a strong appeal with kids as much as adults and fans so it's fine with me. And yes, I would love for a new Mickey Mouse show in the style of Mickey Mouse Works (which I'm surpirsed to hear that it's not as successful as Clubhouse especially since MMW is superior and I'm even more surprised that we haven't gotten DVD collections of the shorts). If I was in charge of Disney, that would happen.

 Is it me or people in the tv corperate world always hire people who only care about what makes money or gets the viewers' attention.I think Bolt hit the nail on the head potraying the exectutives the way they were.

I am always thinking its usually not the writers' fault for the quality of the work its usually the exectutives because they have the power to change critical things about the story.

Mickey Mouse Clubhouse introduces preschoolers to the classic characters. The animation isn't bad, considering this is a show meant for very young children. It also has educational aspects, which is also good.

The fact that Disney is making a Disney Junior channel probably means that this show won't be going anywhere for a very long time. This is okay, kids do love this. Heck, they even have Clarabell Cow in this show! How can you not like that? Pete is in it, as someone menitoned, but he is still an antagonist. Not downright evil, its is a preschooler show remember, but he does give Mickey and his pals a hard time.

So, if you don't like it, that's fine, don't watch it. If you are old enough to post on this message board then its not for you anyway.

I have thought ever since this show came on that they should make a Mickey show that was more for older kids/general audiences. Do it in the style of the old Disney afternoon animated shows.

 It's not like the old Mickey Mouse shorts have disappeared; you can still watch them, and isn't Burny Mattinson making a Mickey Mouse movie? I don't like Mickey Mouse Clubhouse either (although it does show 'forgotten' Disney characters like Pete, Clarabelle and Willie the Giant, which is good), but...I'm not going to become depressed over it.
