Right in that tour's small print it says "proof of all valid code entries". Whoever cashes in had better have his upc, receipt etc... for all his points because something like that they play hardball on to redeem.

Yeah, no hope for me to ever redeem that, I'm way off on points and I don't save receipts (although I suppose proofs-of-purchases would be possible), I just thought others might be interested. :) I just wish there was another way to get the studio tour. :(

And I found this said on one of the facebook page comments:

"I saved up 15,000 points and got the Studio Tour almost 2 years ago. Be prepared, though, to show proof... spent 6 hours cutting out and organizing proof of purchase tabs. Was not a happy camper. The tour was amazing, though!"

I read that too on the Facebook page. I also read on another post that in the Terms & Conditions of DMR, we are only required to keep proof of codes for only 6 months after entering them. Wonder if I can make that argument once they make that request from me.

Don't know why they make a fuss to provide proof when they don't hassle you when you redeem something for 3000 to 5000 points.

If that is true the best thing to do is wait 6 months + 1 day after you hit the point mark & then cash in for the Tour. Then you don't have to deface all of your dvds or blu rays by cutting all of the UPC's out & save every receipt. I know I only save my receipt until I have watched the discs to make sure there are no defects necessitating a store return. Once I know the dvd/blu ray is glitch free I usually ditch the receipt.

This is what i found on their faq tried to look for the facebook post, but it's only people complaining

Why am I asked to provide Blu-ray and DVD proofs-of-purchase when I redeem some Rewards?
Select Rewards are very limited and may have a high Point value. To ensure that they are equally available to all qualifying Enrollees, a redeeming Enrollee may be required to submit proofs-of-purchase to complete the redemption process. If this applies to a Reward you've redeemed, you'll be contacted by our Member Services Team with specific instructions.

Got my mystery dvd. It's High School Musical 2 Extended Edition. Even came with a slipcover. I'll be selling, trading... it since I'm not a HSM person.

Since I have a desire to own all Disney movies, I wouldn't be upset if I got that, normally. However, since (I believe) it has a blu-ray release), I really would prefer to get something else. I wonder what's coming for me, ha... HSM2 would be better than something I already have, or a concert or DVD game or something, I suppose.

My Sister finally came home and opened her package. She got The Princess Diaries, a movie she already owns on DVD.

Nice score!

In regards to the high-point prize redemption, what if, rather than cutting up the covers for the UPC, how about giving them the insert with the code? I've kept all my inserts in their respective cases.

Ooh! Now that would be a best case scenario for me, as there are several Ghibli movies I still need! Princess Diaries is another I wouldn't mind getting, if it's a widescreen version. I haven't even seen those movies yet. I just don't want something I already have or that has been released on Blu, that's all. But, to get a Ghibli film or something great like that which I've really been intending go get, that would be the best! Getting Rocketman would be cool too, since mine turned out to be a defective copy, but I didn't check it out till long after the receipt was expired, ha. I suppose a backup of a Disney Treasure wouldn't be a bad thing to have either.

Gotta love Wal Mart. Took that crappy HSM there & returned it for store credit. Small amount but it'll go towards something I actually want. :)

I didn't take part in the mystery DVD offer, but I would have loved to get a Ghibli film, especially Porco Rosso! :)

My DVD came to my parents house and I got a call from my mom about it. She opened it and we got: High School Musical: Senior Year single disc. It went to my 29 year old sister in an instant as even though I wouldn't mind the Sharpay movie or China's HSM I have the two disc HSM3. Oh well, it was fun playing.

I did redeem some of my points last week for the Radio Disney tour. I got a notice from the post office that they are holding a certified letter from DMR because I was not home to sign it. Now I am wondering what could they have sent? I know that I read that they may require proof of points, but why would they send that request via certified mail? Would they have sent the actual certificate for the tour (something of significant value) via certified mail? I sure hope so!
