LOVE it.

She should be snarky and have lots of zingers. Comedy of the year.

Oh and you forgot, that title should be sideways....

I don't want to spoil the party or anything, but why is it re-named now?Is it the new fomula? How are we even sure if the film is about the Snow Queen?Could it be named differently in other countries.

Looking back at Rapunzel, it had a lot of flack for the name change because the project was exposed to the media a few years ago.The directors said in an interview that they changed the name to suit the adaption which was revolving around the "Tangled" relationship of Rapunzel/Flynn and Rapunzel/Gothel.But in other countries like France,it was in its original title.

I feel the same way. I'm more 'upset' that the movie has been CG-fied rather than the title change.

That's all they care about now. They only want their movies to be CG! That's the ONLY reason why their animated films are successful now, because they're CG!!

Who's to blame? People say they miss hand-drawn animation, which they must based from The Lion King's re-release. But people barely paid much attention to The Princess and the Frog or Winnie the Pooh.

What's Disney supposed to do? :?

I don't think it's what Disney's supposed to do. Rather, it's what we're supposed to do.

We wanted Disney to continue doing hand-drawn animation and because barely anybody saw Winnie the Pooh or Princess and the Frog, Disney's starting to think that we're not committing to telling them- with our wallets- that we want more of those. Really, if people WANT/NEED Disney to continue doing hand-drawn movies, then they have to mean it! In a way, money talks.

:?: What if this "Frozen" thing is a joke or a different project?

Steve Hulett didn't state that it was a Disney canon film.It could be a short film starring recycled characters from the previous Snow Queen drafts.

The drawing and tagline are awesome!

My wife and I have been cracking up at the thought of our little girl saying, "Mommy, I wanna watch Ice Bitch!"

Just imagine . . .

The old lady down the street on Halloween, "Oh, it's Ice Bitch! Aren't you a cute little thing!"

Or kids at Disneyland "Look Mommy! Ice Bitch! Ice Bitch!"

According to Box Office Mojo, the "untitled Pixar film about dinosaurs" has been renamed to "Frozen."

Source: http://www.boxofficemojo.com/schedule/? ... ges&p=.htm

Not sure if this is accurate, but if so, maybe someone saw the title "Frozen" floating around the Disney company and mistakenly attributed it to The Snow Queen. :?

It's true. Coming Soon is also reporting this, citing Walt Disney Studios as their source.

I guess this is good news. At least Snow Queen still has a chance of retaining its original name.

Disney also announced that the title of a previously untitled movie from Disney animation is now Frozen, and that it will get a wide release on November 27, 2013 and will be in 3D and 2D. The movie is described as a fairy tale, but the studio has not released any other details. It is not the live action movie Matterhorn or a Pixar movie about dinosaurs which is scheduled for release in 2014.
Interesting...

^Thanks, that explains it now. I guess some sites like Coming Soon and Box Office Mojo got confused by the "Untitled" part and the release date and assumed it was Pixar's Untitled film.

This means that Frozen will be the next movie after Wreck-It Ralph and not King of the Elves as previously reported.

I wonder how many countries will decide to retain the original Snow Queen name instead of adopting the new Frozen title.

Okay, from what I'm hearing, Snow Queen isn't the movie being retitled as 'Frozen'. Instead, it's the dinosaur Pixar movie.

Frozen is, in fact, an adaptation of Hans Christian Anderson’s The Snow Queen. Disney have been trying to adapt this story from some time, and it seems that they’ve finally cracked it.

I was told about the film’s progress and its title earlier this week. At that time I was assured that the film was going to be hand drawn, but I just traded e-mails for clarification and was told “Don’t put your name to that…not quite yet.”
We're not going to Guam, are we?
