I'd like a plasma screen TV too. But since my family's getting a new entertainment center as soon as my dad comes home from Saudi Arabia, the closest thing right now would be a flat screen TV. It won't exactly be plasma but it's close enough for me. I just need to buy some movies where stuff blows up and I'll be set. Surround sound here I come! I can't wait to watch The Last Samurai in surround sound. Heck, I can't wait to watch ANY movie with my dad like we used to do. I miss the bi-weekly shopping trips to Circuit City and Best Buy for stuff that we don't really need :cough: new DVDs :cough:

Personally am i enjoying how much the new TV toys are pushing perfectly good products down in price.

I just put together a nice entertainment set for around $900.

My wish lists includes all too many TV shows on DVD {they are putting them out faster than i can get em}.

But what i really want is a house. {Sigh} I always feel like i am two years too late for everything.

Indiana, I agree the plasma TV is mighty tempting...

But for now I'll settle for this:

Guru - thanks but I need a job over there first. A house like that where I currently live(Vancouver) would go for just short of $1,000,000. Absolutely ridiculous and beyond my means.

Plasma TVs - no don't do it. The pictures burn out so quickly. Too much money for that. I am looking at a couple of 61 inch products. The Sony Rear Projection LCD and the Samsung DLP.

Edge - I agree on the TV sets. I always thought TV sucked but I am finding there are lots of sets coming out this spring and summer that I want to buy.

The first set is $199.99.
The second set only $85.00.

Hopefully for my birthday I'll get $100. Then for christmas, s'more money.
So I can buy them myself. The reason I'll have to wait is because I have no job
(would like one, but I'm 13) and I don't get an allowence.
It sucks, but sadly this is the only way I can get them.......

That, plus I want a Randall Boggs plushie. ^ ^

Indiana- I have that one (if not that exact model, then a very similar one), and I gotta say it's even sexier in person! I've had it for a year, and no problems whatsoever thus far- nothing but total satisfaction and then some!

I'm not really saving up for one big thing right now, but rather for a lot of small ones... mostly DVDs, also the Amy Grant: Building The House of Love vhs and just spending money for my upcoming WDW trip. I guess the one big thing I'm looking at is a stereo receiver for my room.

What do you want to buy

Post by poohgirl »

It isn't something I want to buy but instead somewhere I want to go. I have been saving and pinching pennies for a year now to save up and go to Disney World. I have never been there. I almost have all the money I need for my trip and I am FINALLY going to get to go in October!! I can't wait!!! I have wanted to go there ever since I was a kid now I will get my chance! :)

And I think that picture actually makes it look a lot less attractive than it really is.
