Why no US Edition of Pierre Lambert Snow White book??

As an addition to another book related topic I have already posted a version of this post. I'm astonished that, as yet, there has been no US edition of Blanche Neige by Pierre Lambert which is, I think, the author of Pinocchio and Mickey Mouse third Disney volume. Monsieur Lambert should receive congratulations for producing this magnificent addition to his existing works.

This is a stunningly beautiful book which comes with a slipcase cover and why it has not been issued in an English translation I'll never know. I purchased my copy from France through the French version of Amazon.com. Buy this book now (if you can still obtain a copy as I think it may now have gone out of print?) it is absolutely beautiful and a must have book for any self respecting Disneyana collector!!

I really don't know why there is no English-language edition of "Blanche Neige" by Pierre Lambert. But I remember that, just before the French book was published quite a while ago, it was specifically announced that there would be no English-language version.

I have considered buying this book, but haven't so far. I have the other two ("Pinocchio" and "Mickey Mouse") by the same author, though. Quite stunning editions.

wobble-the-witch-cat do you know if the Pierre Lambert Blanche Neige book has been translated into any other language, since it hasn't been done in English? I can read 2 (or maybe 3 ) other languages besides English (but sadly not French )

The two English Lambert books--I got them used--are great for art work. But as for production details, the Pinocchio book simply has so many factual errors, I stopped reading it. I wonder if that contributed to the no-English version of SW?

You would think that they would simply have corrected the factual errors before publishing the books, however, in my humble opinion, they are still the most beautiful books about Disney that have been produced!!

Would you be able to mention some of those errors? It's a large book with about 230 pages - but few of those pages are made up of text, so how many errors could there be...?

I own 3 books of Pierre Lambert : Blanche Neige, Mickey and Pinnochio.
They're all very beautiful

without going back through the Pinocchio book, from what I recall, it mis-credits many animators with scenes they never worked on, also confuses some well-known stories about the production of the film. The art and the reproduction of it, though, is beautiful.
