Post by Disney Guru »

I Am Shocked!

I would never do that but whatever you want to. If you want to copy movies you rent then do it~

Tell them you "lost" the little mermaid and sell it on ebay for good $$
Now that would be wrong

Sorry,

That last one wasn't aimed at you. I just wouldn't want to steal Blockbuster's only copy of the Little Mermaid and sell it:)

I totally understand that some people don't agree with copying dvd's, but I've got legit copies on VHS, and I plan on buying them when they are available in store again. I really don't want to pay $50 on ebay and possibly get a home made copy that I could make at home myself.

I don’t see why it’s wrong. If you lost a DVD then they make you pay for it. So you rent it, you tell them you lost it, they charge you some $, then you copy it and sell it on ebay for $$$$

That's true, you do pay so it isn't so bad. It's really badly damaged too. I'll actually be really surprised if I manage to get a copy that works from any of them. Besides, it's the only place in town that even has it :o so I kinda want to leave it there for the kids that haven't seen it before :)

What a waste of time to: rent it - lie - spend money to pay for it - copy it - get your money back by selling it. Why wouldn't you just skip the un-necessary steps and just rent it and copy it, then return it?

Because this particular DVD goes for quite a bit of $ on ebay.

Honesty Issue

Post by Disney Guru »

This whole issue can be solved with one little phrase "To Each His Own"!

Everybody is free to do what ever they want they just have to be readdy to face the consequences if it is the wrong thing!

Quite a hassle for only $1.85, don't you think?

SONG OF THE SOUTH/SO DEAR TO MY HEART

Post by Disney Guru »

I think that we have had enough talking about this issue I think we should have a contest now and have people who like this submit their ideas and Cover Art Ideas and Luke can judge them or something. I myself am very exctied to see what all of you guys submit I might even do an artwork who knows. So start thinking about good ideas and submit submit submit.

I think both films are great and would buy them both, but for the average buyer I think that releasing them only together would be a terrible idea.

Absolutely NOT, not together.
If they should release them in US, it must be separately - they have nothing to do with eachother, except that they have some of the same actors (that appears in both).
