See an Aerial View of your home!

Post by Kram Nebuer »

My dad told me about this site really cool site called GlobeXplorer :) . It's awesome because you type in your address and you find an aerial/bird's eye view of your street and neighborhood. YOu can zoom in and see your own house! It was so cool to see my whole neighborhood and everything. Click Here to find your home!

Can you guess what this is a view of?

I seem to be able to find Australia and other spots around the place, but not to the same level of detail as the one above.

That's a little creepy, really! Mine is the house on the right-hand side with the deck in back!

Mine's that kinda L-shaped red-topped house in the center of the pic. Yeah, trees everywhere, I know. That's the Minnehaha Creek at the bottom of the picture, btw.

And Kram - Oh, I dunno, a Disney park, maybe? ;) I don't know my parks very well, though. I think it's Disneyland, kindamaybesorta. :P

click Do an overlay map (left hand menu) it's fun, and gives the streets (including ours) their names.

Dang, my new house wasn't built yet when the photograph was taken. Oh well. Type in Lake Buena Vista, FL- you can see all the parks, it's very cool!

Well, all they have for me is a 1998 b&w picture of my old house... and it won't zoom in past the street level.  You can't see much, but here it is:

Image

That long, curved black line smack in the middle of the picture was our driveway. Follow it to see our old house. 8)

Isn't this an awesome site? I see everyone has posted their house. I'd post mine, but my mom would flip if I did for secutiry reasons. Luke, is that a golf couse behind your home? That's totally awesome!

Paka - You're kind of right! It's the Magic Kingdom in WDW. You can tell because in the top right corner you can see the tents of Mickey's Toontown Fair. Also the old 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea Lagoon is in Fantasyland and not Tomorrowland. You're house is pretty cool! I'd love to live in a neighborhood with a lot of trees! My house has a lot of trees in the back yard, but if you walk through the "forest" you'll end up at the other side of our block and in a neighbor's backyard.

Our house is the one on the left with the pool - the only house on that side of the block with one, it seems.

I was about to post a pic of our new house but If I did my mom would go ballistic because as she says "Security Means Everything". But it was a nice thought.
