I've always heard it called Imperial as well. I generally prefer metric, but there are a few places it gets confusing: I think in pounds for heavy objects, but grams in smaller ones; metres baffle me, but miles do more....and the whole liquid aspect of Imperial is super baffling  ,

Kram: King Henery Basically Delicious Chocolate Milk? What's this? I know we use Kings Have Diamonds -M- Diamonds Cost Money = Kilo, Hecta, Deca, Metre/Litre/Gram, Deci, Centi, Milli.
We're the same for when school starts and ends. When do you start and finish, Aaron?

yoda - That's the mnemonic device we learned for the metric system. It's the same (Kilo, Hecta, Deca, Basic, Deci, Centi, Milli.) except the middle term is basic for meters, liters, and grams. That's weird how in Canada the suffix is -er/-re. Did you guys learn "Please Excuse My Dear Aunt Sally" or "Purple Eggplants Make Delicious Afternoon Snacks" for Order of Operations? Parenthesis, Exponent, Multiplication, Division, Addition, Subtraction.

And to Loomis, I hope this isn't a stupid question, but does it snow in Australia? I miss snow and would rather be in snow than in the heat. I absolutely LOVE winter!

Imperial... is that what you guys call it? I've heard it called a few things before, but never that one. I usually here it as the 'US System,' though. I wonder if it has an official name? lol

That's what I was taught in science class. The Imperial System.

You guys are so lucky you have a longer summer break. I only have one more week of summer vacation. I'm going back to college in the last week of June until August for the summer semester and for the fall semester I go from late August to December. Man, I wish I were in high school again it was so easy and relaxing. Just Kidding going to high school again no way I prefer to be in college!!!
