Last: Veruca Salt's terrible cover of Depeche Mode's "Somebody." But, I've never heard the original so, I don't mind.

Sounds like Louise is singing, so this is likely... after the breakup?

Now: Missing Persons - "Walking in L.A."

Next: Simple Minds - "Alive and Kicking"

(Victoria Galinsky - "The Dead")

Was trying to find this little gem for a long time and thinking it was hopeless... Finally found it today and uploaded it to YouTube because it's so amusing. (It makes a frequent appearence in Thatguywiththeglasses.com contributer Phelous's videos and I love him to death.)

That's a good one.

And, on Rob Zombie, "Brick House" is... alright. But I greatly prefer "I'm Your Boogeyman."

I'm listening to a number of Simon & Garfunkel songs. They're 'positively perfect in every way.'

Right now, I'm listening to Moloko's "Should've Been, Could've Been" on YouTube's 2x Speed. Just because I've never heard it that way before. It's interesting.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GVuzHfVH2OY

I don't know why THE HELL YouTube has this 2x Speed option on some videos and not others, but this one has it. (You have to watch this ON YouTube's page to get the option.)

Next I'm playing Moloko's "Blow X Blow" and mentioning it because I don't know why more people aren't fans of this band (I smell another special thread topic brewing). This song especially, along with SBCB, blows my mind:

And linking it this way because I think there are just too many embeds. :)

Before: Elvis- "Jailhouse Rock"
Now: Black Sabbath- "Black Sabbath"
Next: Black Sabbath- "Hole in the Sky"

So Sabbath are reuniting, huh? I greatly prefer the Heaven & Hell lineup to the original group, but I'm curious enough to see them all together again. Ozzy can't sing worth a crap anymore, but I'll follow Tony Iommi until the end of time.

Before: Frank Zappa- "Dog Breath, in the Year of the Plague"
Now: Cynic- "Carbon-Based Anatomy"
Next: Vanessa Va Basten - "Dole"

The first song comes from the master. The second comes from what would be my release of the eyar if it wasn't an EP. And the third just kicks ass.

I was doing Rihanna too but I don't want to overplay her so soon.

Heh, good choices. Both sound like good ideas to listen to now. I wasn't listening to anything prior to this post though; just watching some Nostalgia Critic.

(Edit, after watching it: it was okay but I prefer just about any of the "Put That Cookie Down!" mixes.)
