Favourite Character, Scene and Song in Sleeping Beauty
For me...
Character: I'm struggling to decide between the funny and charming Merryweather and the creepy, superbly-designed Maleficent; I think I'll give it to Maleficent because even though Merryweather sometimes entertains me more, Maleficent is more memorable. The senile Fauna and bossy yet likable Flora are close runners-up to both.
Scene: Aurora's christening. The three good fairies float down, seemingly from the heavens, and when Flora and Fauna give their magical gifts to the baby princess, we're transported to these surrealistic and utterly beautiful Fantasia-esque sequences; however, just as Merryweather is saying "My gift shall be..." there's a chilling breeze and a flash of lightning, signalling the arrival of Maleficent, who then gives Aurora a 'gift' of her own.
Song: 'Once Upon a Dream', easily. 'Hail to the Princess Aurora' is okay, but 'Once Upon a Dream' is simply iconic and unbeatable.
What about you?

Character: Aurora- she's cute and lovely and give me a boner (especially the peasant one) I also like her design. Her character could of been more emphasized and better developed as I have said millions times before. I do find Maleficent's voice really well acting even if she sucks as a villain.
Scene: I always love the "I wonder" scene.
Same as above.

Character: Merryweather
Scene: The battle between Maleficent and Phillip (and the fairies)
Song: Once Upon A Dream
Line: "But I picked berries yesterday" - Aurora*
*That line is immediately what I think of when I think about Sleeping Beauty; I have no idea why, but it is what it is.

Character: Malificent by mile, for the same reason for why everyone else likes her.Dr Frankenollie wrote:For me...

Scene: I absolutely love how Aurora sings in the forest to the animals for the first time. The music is absolutely lovely and the mood is wonderful. Otherwise, I like the sequence how the Goodfairies uses magic to clean up the house. It's quite a fun scene and the music is gorgeous. And the final battle with the dragon is quite good as well. Its epic and dynamic.
Song: I Wonder, but I love Once Upon A Dream as well. Sleeping Beauty isn't bad

Character: Maleficent. Though I do like Fauna and Merryweather, too.
Scene: Aurora pricks her finger. The best scene in the film, imo. Very haunting. The Maleficent scenes keep the movie alive.
Song: "Riddle Diddle." I'm not crazy about the music, personally, so I went with this deleted song (the melody is still in the movie). For as much screen time as they have, the fairies really should have a song.

Listening to most often lately:
Taylor Swift ~ "Elizabeth Taylor"
Katy Perry ~ "bandaid"
Meghan Trainor ~ "Still Don't Care"

Character: Bit of a hard one though Dr. Frankenollie summed up things rather well.
Scene: Just about anything with Maleficent really, though the climax when she turns into a dragon might be the best scene of hers I think. Or of course her first arrival at the christening.

Character: Maleficent
Scene: Gotta love the dragon scene, but I gotta go with the cake building scene, ha.
Song: I'm going to go with "Once Upon a Dream", however, "I Wonder" had such a special, downright eerie quality. Maybe it's because I used to listen to it on a really crackly book and record. It made the song sound like something really, I don't know, eerie. It had the same affect on the Bambi and Snow White songs. Made them seem... other worldly, and truly medieval.

Re: Favourite Character, Scene and Song in Sleeping Beauty
Character: Fauna. Maleficent too, but only in the beginning and when she captures/taunts Phillip; I always felt she lost some of her mystique and elegant wickedness in scenes with her goons and any other scenes when she's too "in-your-face".
Scene: The fairies making presents for Aurora's birthday; Aurora being lured up the staircase and touching the spinning wheel (creepy); Maleficent "entertaining" Phillip with her plans.
Song: "Once Upon a Dream".

Re: Favourite Character, Scene and Song in Sleeping Beauty
Character: Aurora. Yes she could have had better personality development but I like her. I also think Prince Philip is hot for a cartoon character and I'm not ashamed to admit it.
Scene: The dress and cake making scene. I spent most of my time as a child waving a stick at things saying 'make it pink!' 'make it blue!' Aurora pricking her finger - eerie. I love the score that plays when it happens.
Song: Has to be 'once upon a dream'.
