The Hunchback of Notre Dame Blu-ray?

Post by Sotiris »

According to the Spanish website zonadvd.com, the movie is slated for an October 2013 release. The fact it calls every Disney re-release a "Platinum Edition", is not necessarily a sign of having false information. I know a lot of reliable European sites that still call these re-releases 'Platinum' editions.

Of course, since this doesn't come from an official venue we need to take it with a grain of salt but here's hoping!

:headshake: As I've said in the "Rescuers Blu-Ray" thread, I doubt that the source you found is reliable, Sotiris. The Platinum Edition line is over.

 I didn't read the entirety of Sotiris' post. Nonetheless, I still don't think the source is reliable.

Wait for seven years for a better Hunchback release. Buy the DVD in October 2011. Less than one week afterwards, the rumors for a better release start.

Then go find a blue police box. You're probably be able to get there with it in no time.

Really, really exciting if this is true! A new Disney classic on Blu-ray is always great, but Hunchback and Hercules are both long overdue.

I wish Disney would release Hunchback in 3D as well, but a regular Blu-ray will also be great. This is a beautiful film with breathtaking and epic animation and backgrounds, and to see it in HD will be awesome!^^

October 2013 is fine by me if it's true. 2 years is not that long, and we will have Lady and the Tramp, Cinderella, The Little Mermaid and hopefully also Pocahontas and Aladdin on Blu-ray over the next two years...
Favorite Disney-movies: Snow White, Cinderella, Alice in Wonderland, Sleeping Beauty, The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, Pocahontas, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Hercules, Mulan, Tarzan, Tangled, Frozen, Pirates, Enchanted, Prince of Persia, Tron, Oz The Great and Powerful

I repeat, EVERY Disney Animated Classic will end up on Blu-ray sooner or later. Or so a little bird told me...

Why are you acting as if that's news? I don't think anyone has doubted that. At all... Ever.
