It's bad enough they started getting lazy when it came to putting bonus features on their Blu-ray releases. Well, now it seems they're getting even lazier by rehashing the cover arts. :x

I wonder if Disney still thinks the sideways titles thing is a good idea, or if they're just doing it now to be consistent.

I am perfectly happy with that BD cover. I love that image and the fact they cut out all the side characters (not originally present in the scene) makes it unique and uncluttered. Whoo!

It's probably a placement art, though I wouldn't be surprised if we had the sideways up and down logo, again :brick:

They look OK, I mean, Disney used the old pic but I think it still looks good

Wow this thread's been lil busy huh? haha, For some reason I'm favorin the dvd cover more than the Blu cover, it's reptive of the platinum, like I said before they should've made a cover that's simlar to the late 1980s reissue poster.

As for Scamp's cover, again its a redesign of Simba's Pride/ 1.5 blu covers.

Disney switch the covers or make both covers the same, put the title Correctly and we'll be happy with the cover.

I'm hoping we get both the Scope and the Academy versions on the Blu - as it was filmed in both ratios. Previously the only release of the original Academy version made available for home viewing was on LD. Maybe the Academy version could come with optional Disney view?

BIG ASK!

The only thing we know for sure about Disney's home video releases is that they have no idea what consistency is. I'm anticipating "Cinderella" will have a slanty sideways title and by the time they get to "Pinocchio" again it will probably be upside down and backwards or something.

@Sotiris: you're awesome you always have the Disney 411

Well an audio commentary will be nice. Probably fan boys just saying how much they love it like Dumbo but it's a welcomed bonus feature. Hopefully we at least get one for Cinders but I'm not holding my breath with their consistency issues like SpringHeelJack addressed.

That's funny... I don't mind them nearly as much in a landscape format like those two. It kind of opens up the space and gives the characters some room to breathe.

That brochure probably also finalizes the Brazilian cover art as well. The Blu-ray case they are showing us in the Brazillian pic is also DVD sized, and after some consideration I decided I liked it bc once is cropped for the Blu-ray size it won't look so empty.
