What do you think? Part of me does this:  and the other part of me likes the pretty drawings.

It's been discussed elsewhere (but not given a specific thread), but I do enjoy the drawings done with it and don't mind the products themselves. More merch like this and less of the extreme-pink-and-glitter stuff would make me appreciate the brand more.

I wondered where Sotiris got that siggy...

Anyway, it's a bit silly, but in the end I don't care what Disney does with the Princess line anymore. At least they aren't massive golden dresses encrusted with jewels-- now that would be over the top!

The artwork is so gorgeous! The dolls themselves....hmm.

I was at my local Disney store yesterday and they had a display of every doll except Ariel (who had just gone on sale, and, I'm assuming, sold out). I thought Mulan, Snow White, Jasmine and Tiana looked great, but was pretty disappointed with Rapunzel. And I dunno if it was just a bad paint job, but the Pocahontas doll they had on display looked high as a kite! Had a good laugh at that  Ah well.

I'd love a designer Rapunzel mug, though. :)

Designer Dolls

Post by Rapunzel »

I wasn't sure where to ask this, but is there anyone on here who is trading or selling these dolls? And not for ebay scalper prices? Is there a place on this forum to ask this? I did a search on designer dolls and didn't come up with much.

Also, if anyone has one of the voucher tickets for Rapunzel that you got at the store, would you be willing to sell it to me? They took mine at the store but I know people have them!

Try creating a new topic in the Trade forum here on UD.

I got an email today from Disneystore.com offering 25% off any purchase made today due to the technical problems they experienced from all the people trying to order the dolls. I think this is complete CRAP though because I think I should be able to use the 25% off whenever I want, or they should have at least given people a week warning for the offer so people can have the money to spend. I would love to use it today, but I don't have the money to buy anything at the moment so it's just a tease. :x

I think the new dolls are adorable. To me they are better than the ones that they try and sell at Walmart/Target. And the drawings are beautiful.

Hey folks! In two weeks (well, actually, around the 28th or 29th), I'm going back to Austin. I will then have 1 month to find an apartment (and hopefully a job). So, I need to raise some cash fast. That means that, once again, I'm selling my collectibles, but this time I have a bunch of pictures and an item list for ya. Here's what I've got for sale at the moment (and I will try to add more stuff before the week is out):

Disney Princess dolls, Sailor Moon dolls (and a locket toy), Harley Quinn, Poison Ivy, and Elektra Barbies, Christmas and Halloween Barbies, Holiday Barbies, a Coca Cola Santa, Betty and Veronica dolls, Hilary Duff and Britney Spears dolls, Lucy and Audrey Hepburn dolls, a Planet of the Apes Cornelius doll, X-Files Barbies, Superman Returns figures, Batman the Animated Series figures, a Lois Lane Barbie, a Jessica Rabbit doll, an Alice in Wonderland doll, an Ariel sculpture and Ariel bank, a Disney World Barbie, a High School Musical doll, a Sabrina the Animated series doll, an Irish doll, an Irish Barbie, a Pirates of the Caribbean Capt. Teague Neca figure, Swan Lake and Coca Cola Barbies, an Elvis doll, Miracle on 34th St. Dolls, a Little Mermaid Golden Happy Meal Toys set, A Chinese New Year Barbie, Wizard of Oz Barbies and a Playset, Spider-Man movie dolls, a Grease Barbie, a Josie and the Pussycats doll, Disney holiday dolls, an A Christmas Story talking figure, a Qui Gon Jinn talking doll, Scooby Doo Barbies and more to come. Battery operated toys probably need battery replacements.

Go here to see the items and their prices: http://moonlightmotelcomic.com/merchandise.html (scroll down for the pictures, items are priced at $10, $20, $30, $50, and $100)

Shipping and handling and the condition of the item packaging varies, so e-mail me with your questions. Payment accepted through Paypal, though confirm with me through e-mail before sending payment. My e-mail address is slave2moonlight@yahoo.com

Remember, I may add more items through the week, including possibly more dolls, and also some beanies and plush toys, and who knows what else!

I really love the drawings that are inspired by the dolls; I love Ariel's altered dress, reminds of of a cross between her Broadway dress and the movie!

And (it could just be me) but Snow White is reminding me of Ginnifer Godwin as Snow in 'Once Upon A Time' ??

I do feel sorry for the Princes too, not being bedecked in a fancy new outfit  I thought Flyn at least would have either his wedding attire of the black jacket he sported at the end of the movie?

bruno_wbt Thanks for sharing. I can't wait to see Ariel and Eric when they actually get released. I wonder how much these dolls will cost, when they are released.

I wonder if they'll be sold separately, because I'd love to get the prince dolls (although SW's prince's fan looks nothing like himself... :? ). There're are better doll versions of the princesses out there.

As far as the new designs, Belle is the only one I like. Too bad they don't have pictures for all the dolls yet (and Tiana, Cinderella).

She actually reminds me more of the little girl who plays SW on that show. :P

Those look really nice, and the drawings are really beautiful. Hope they'll add Aurora/Philip and Cinderella/Prince Charming as well. Pocahontas/John Smith, Mulan/Shang and Tiana/Naveen would also be nice. If Merida is added before any of them, I'll be annoyed...

If someone discovers versions of those drawings in higher resolution, please share them here!:)

This collection is only including those 5 couples so no Cindy, Aurora, Pocahontas ect. I think the drawings look good but the dolls are kind of disappointing. Snow's prince looks nothing like himself. Which is sad to me because I always thought he had such a nice, handsome design. Snow White's dress is pretty but her hair sucks. In the drawing her hair is long and flowing but it's just a crappy braid on the doll. I also think she looks like Regina from OUAT.

Jasmine looks pretty good but I don't like her expression. She has such a cute look in the drawing but the doll looks like she just ate a child for dinner and enjoyed it. Aladdin looks goofy in his outfit. It looks 2 sizes to big. I am very interested to see how Belle and the Beast turn out.

No Cinderella ? :(

Loving the pictures however not too big on the dolls. Sorry just was never a big doll collector.

Snow looks about 3- 4 years older, more mature and more sexy.

Aladdin looks older as well and still deeply in love in Jasmine. So sweet !

Eric and Ariel look the same but still pretty cute and happy with each other. Eric looks a little rushed and lazy when it comes to design.

Beast looks so awkward and uncomfortable and Belle looks bored and like she was invited to a dull party and wants to go home. Least favorite picture.

Rapunzel looks about 1-2 years older and still happy and cheerful and Flynn looks like he wants to touch Rapunzel's booty.

Just ugh so would of LOVED a Cinderella picture !

It's actually nice not to have the usual suspects pictured here for the 'romance' vibe of the dolls; makes a nice change having Snow & Jasmine featured instead of endless Cinderella & Aurora poses and princes.
