Too bad I never said or implied it was an anti-UD forum. I clearly said "This may be true (about the rules and moderation) but some have other plans:"

I have nothing against the forum and already registered. Look again and you'll see who the invoker of any flame war is with referring to members as vile and implying that it was anti-UD forum. Try again.

How convenient that I would be the one accused of that considering the post I quoted.

Weasel words. Weasel words explicitly chosen to try to start a flame war. And this is not the first time this comes from you. (In fact, I'm having a deja-vu right now.) You really should try to stop those underhanded tactics of trying to pit forum members against each other, especially if you're gonna be holier-than-thou about it.

Again, conveniently ignoring the one who was actually doing that by calling members vile. No one else made such remarks or being negative about members. We were all happy about the site being saved and that remark was made.

Did *I* say member were vile? No siree, not me. Someone else did that. But here we are at the core of my point: I was right. You are trying to pit UD forum members against each other and start a flame war with those words "conveniently ignoring the one who was actually doing that by calling members vile". (Especially the word "conveniently") But anyway, that's stuff taken from another forum. And you come running over here to post it here... to do what? There is *no other reason* imaginable than you wanting to create a fight, a flame. Again. That's you. But you're doing it in such a nice way, with such nice words, with such a holier-than-thou attitude, that you hope people don't see right through it. Well, your plan failed.

You might be right to an extent that there's no reason to run here and post about other members from the other site, but I think you're being a little over-the-top accusatory, Goliath. No one else is reacting to it, so leave it at that. I think by jumping on him and all the "ha! I figured you out, you were caught!" kind of stuff, you're really the one instigating right now.

Here's something I feel the need to point out yet again: Heartless's intent was to provide a back-up/safety-net for UD's community since Luke was clearly pessimistic about this site's survival. It's unfortunate that some took it the wrong way, and it's also unfortunate that some have hard feelings on either end over what's been happening. I must stress that it was never anyone's intention for the creation of DM to divide the community, but with the immature way people are acting it appears to be unavoidable.

I may get berated for saying this but I still feel it's unfortunate that the current mods/admins of this site clearly give this forum little priority. As I've stated before, I understand the reviews are the bread and butter of this site and that the staff members obviously have real lives outside of all this, but the community feels . . . tacked on? Like an afterthought, left to fend for itself. It never used to be that way. And it's pretty much the reason many of my old friends jumped ship long before we had a Sitepocalypse on the horizon.

I'm so glad UD will keep running! That was a heck of a long time to worry about it possibly closing.

I was going to post something last night (NZ time), but I'll do it now. Yay for the site for going back on track to make Luke's life less stressful.

And after reading Luke's article yesterday I'm glad he's feeling up. Here's to hopefully another 11 years and more. Now all we need are Ultimate Disney/DVDizzy t-shirts.

I would buy one of those, though perhaps there could be an option of having one in a 7XL size (I'm losing weight now, it's complicated, see my post in off topic)

I've only been a member for about a year, but I agree with you. It seems like lately we've had an overload of what I consider to be pointless posts, rather than valuable discussions. The board has turned into a stomping ground people who seem to desperately be trying to become psychologists, philosophers, or something.

Don't get me wrong, I'll discuss Disney 'til the cows come how, but diving into the psyche of each and every random character that comes to mind seems a tad psychotic. :?

With that said, I'm off to start a thread about what Cinderella's lunch menu says about her inner demons.

I know this has been a struggle Luke, but I hope now that this has been achieved, you'll be able to rebuild and regain what you've lost and the site will continue for many years to come.

:D

* Sorry for the smart "lmgtfy" link. The link was just smaller than a direct link to the search results.

No, I am not the one "really instigating" it and you know very damn well I'm not. This game-play of trying to blame Goliath for everything that goes wrong at UD has to stop somewhere, so why not here? Look, you've admitted yourself there's no reason for The_Iceflash to do what he did, so why point the finger at me all of a sudden? It's not like it's the first time The_Iceflash has done this. It's about time somebody called him on it, so I'm not "leaving it at that". He wants to pit UD forum members against each other and instigate hostilities? Fine, let me reveal him.

Well I'll come to The_IceFlash's defense and say I don't think he's doing that. But I suppose we all should try a little more to get along...unless people really must be told what's what.

That is terrible Luke. My heart breaks for you. I have not been around lately but that was more because I ran out of things to post, it seemed that everything we had talked about in the forum was just coming back again and it was time for new people with new perspective.

I will try to make a couple of Amazon orders from the link to help out.
