Encino Woman???

Post by Stitch »

Over the weekend, my friend and I were playing the Disney Trivia Game and one of the questions asked about the title of the Encino Man sequel. I never knew there was a sequel. Apparently it was shown on The Wonderful World of Disney back in 1996? It was called Encino Woman. Does anyone know who was in this sequel and if it is going to be released onto DVD anytime soon... if ever?

Wow, never heard of this. :o Apparently, it starred the king of TV movies, Jay Thomas, Rick Overton, Annabelle "Dinner and a Movie" Gurwitch, Elisa Donovan, and Bobcat Goldthwait.

Doubt we'll see a DVD (or video) anytime soon, or ever.

Nice to see someone making use of my '80s-themed avatars in the gallery. :)

i seriously doubt if it would ever get a dvd release. however, Splash had a sequel called Spalsh Too! where Tom Hank's character had to come back on shore and save his brother from gambling debts or something (No, Tom hanks did not appear in it, it was just his character). This WAS released on VHS in Europe in PAL format and not in the states. Maybe this Encino Woman was also? I don't know where to check about those things. Europe got a ton of VHS that the states never got:

Spalsh Too!
The Parent Trap 2
Double Switch
Teen Witch
Perri
Run, Cougar, Run
and of course Song Of The South

Maybe these will be included as random special features in future SE releases on DVDs. Or maybe supplemental discs. One can only hope.....
