This is why I never order on-line. I want the physical product in my hands at 9 a.m. on the day of release. Plus if there are any problems I know where to take it back to and get another copy.

I can honestly say I have never bought a new release from an on-line store, and never will. It just isn't my style. I would rather be able to enjoy watching the movie the day it is released, than watch for the mailman to come with my product and find out that it didn't ship when it was supposed to and I may have to wait a few days.

I have never understood what the big deal is with ordering anything on line. But then again, that is just me. I am not a big technology geek, I don't mind going to the store and picking up my products the day they are released.

I'm planning to buy the Blu-ray this weekend at Target. Going to use the online coupon and my Subway coupon. I also wanted to use the Target $5 off coupon (Select Disney Blu-ray Discs) but when I printed it was only for the Blu-rays for Beauty and the Beast and Princess and the Frog.

Target $5 off coupon (Select Disney Blu-ray Discs):
http://coupons.target.com/electronics-coupons

$29.99 at Target
-$5.00 (DMR Coupon)
-$5.00 (Subway Coupon)
$19.99 +tax at Target. I think it's still a good deal. Stinks that Target is 20 min. from where I live.

I was buying each of the new Disney releases in-store until the $10 and $8 DMR coupons stopped. For the last few releases, Amazon.com has been offering their own coupons when pre-ordering that ended up being equivalent or better than their DMR counterparts:

$5.00 off The Fox and the Hound
$8.00 off Dumbo
$8.00 off The Lion King 3D
$7.00 off Winnie the Pooh
$7.00 off Cars 2 3D

Those coupons, coupled with a few Amazon gift cards I got through online rewards sites, have enabled me to get each of the above titles for much lower than I would in-store (I got Dumbo for $5.60 :o), and I don't have to spend additional time/gas shopping. The Walmart near me is completely unreliable for new releases and Best Buy has run out of stock by the time I left work on release day.

I'll agree that it can be a pain waiting for delivery, but I try not to be impatient because I'd rather have the savings over instant gratification.

Just e-mailed Amazon - incredibly frustrating considering I pay for Amazon Prime so I CAN get the item the day it comes out. Gaaaah

I order almost anything from amazon.de, because stores are in Germany much more expensive. Another reason is the excellent customer service of amazon: When I order a DVD or Blu-ray I know I can exchange it even after a year or two if it is defect. This is useful because I watch some of the movies I buy not immediately.
I order for almost 10 years from amazon.de and never had any complaints. Once, after two years in use my iPod got broken, I called them and they paid me the full price back!
Then again, Germany is in comparison to the US such a small country with a huge population and has as a result of this a very good infrastructure, so that you get your pre-orders in general on release date and normal orders the day after you ordered- without Prime. I don't even know, why they offer the service in Germany.

I went to Target and got the Combo Pack that comes with the Original Soundtrack (all the songs and score) included in the Digital Copy. I got a price match with Toys r Us ($27.99) and used the $5 coupon from online. My final price was $22.99 not including tax. But when you compare the lowest final price of the regular Blu-Ray-DVD combo pack ($14.99) to what I paid, you're basically getting the 3D Blu-Ray disc, Digital Copy, and soundtrack for $8 more. That's a great deal. And I think I read somewhere that the online coupon is the same as the Subway coupon despite the online coupon claiming that it can only be used for the 4-disc combo pack. Could someone clarify if this is correct?

Oooh, I would love to take advantage of this! I just looked on Target's site and it says the version with the soundtrack is online only...how do you get the price match deal? And was the coupon you used the DMR one? I just printed mine out and was going to try using it at Toys R Us, but this deal is much sweeter. If you could sort-of walk me through the process I would be very grateful. Thanks! :)

Using my Subway coupon, my pre-order $5, and a Best Buy Gift Certificate my total cost for the 2-Disc Blu-ray/DVD Combo pack, in the Exclusive Best Buy Steelbook, was only $1.79. And it was in my hands at 9:10 a.m.

Best Buy sale price for the 2-Disc set is $19.99 and the 4-Disc 3-D is only $22.99. Best prices I have found when you have your Subway coupon, DMR coupon and any Best Buy gift certificates.

^ Disney Pins usually sell for around $7-10 each. So I say the price sounds about right. I may consider it.

Well I went to Target early in the morning when they opened at 8am. All I brought with me was the DMR coupon and the Toys r Us ad. Target has a limited supply of the red-cover 4-disc combo packs with the bonus soundtrack. They had a large supply of the regular combo packs (both sizes) and the white 4-disc combo packs. When I went to the check out lane, I had an employee who must had been a college student. First she price matched the item with the Toys r Us price. Then she scanned the DMR coupon to take off $5 (at first, she said I couldn't used it but then changed her mind when she recognized that it was a manufacturer's coupon. I didn't understand what that was about.) I think I was just lucky in that situation. Most likely, the Target stores will not price match the red-cover 4-disc set with the white-cover 4-disc set in the Toys r Us ad even though both sets are sold at the same price at Target. However it is worth a try. Besides, it's only $2 dollars you're saving by using the Toys r Us ad. But if you're like me and don't have the Lion King soundtrack in your music collection, I highly recommend you take advantage of this great deal. I've been watching some of the bonus features on the Blu-Ray and the documentaries are really good.

Isn't the 3D combo pack $29.99 at Best Buy?

I am buying my copy tomorrow. Hopefully there are still some copies left. I think it kind of sucks they make you buy the 3D combo pack with the coupon. Those pins on that flyer on the other hand look tempting, but the price says otherwise.

So the soundtrack.... does it include all the vocal songs AND the entire score? Or just a few tracks of the score? :?

Because of the question that was raised about the price, I went back to the Best Buy store where I normally shop and I stand corrected, "The Lion King 3-D 4-Disc Combo IS $29.99.

If I make a mistake, I usually am good about accepting the blame. And I don't think we have better theaters than you do, I KNOW we have better theaters than you do. 'Nuff Said!!!

www.warrentheaters.com

Show me at theater that can match these and I will admit I was wrong. But I have been in a lot of movie theaters in my life, and nothing beats the Warren Theaters in Wichita, Oklahoma, and Missouri for quality, clarity and sound.

I dunno Junkie, I live in a city that was built on providing entertainment and many of my local theaters are pretty damned nice. ;)
