Its an activity book with 3 sticker sheet pages in the front of the book. On the front cover it says Dumbo 70th Anniversary.Barbossa wrote:Probably the same as the Walmart Canada exclusive - activity book with two sticker sheets?KACENAID wrote: Target exclusive has an activity book attached on pack.
I'm still waiting for my copy to ship from Amazon, and I've had it pre-ordered since May. On Monday it went into "shipping soon," but switched back to "not yet shipped" yesterday.
I called customer service to see what the reason for the switch was, and they couldn't offer an explanation but offered to upgrade both my copies of Dumbo and The Lion King to 1-day shipping for free (both are on the same order). I ended up having to talk to 2 more reps because I was then charged for the expedited shipping. They said they couldn't fix the shipping charge, but gave me a $15 "promotional credit" instead.
Dumbo is now back in "shipping soon" mode since last night with estimated delivery of 9/23 (today). Since it hasn't gone out yet, I doubt it's coming today, but hopefully it goes out and I get it tomorrow.
This has been my first real problem with Amazon in the 6+ years I've been shopping there, but I guess they are handling it okay (unless Dumbo gets another delay).

I would have went with the plush at Best Buy, but I was unable to go on Tuesday morning. According to the online inventory they were sold out by 11 AM (time I checked), so I would have missed it. Its a VERY nice plush though from what I've seen online.Matt wrote:Im glad I got the Best Buy plush then lol!DarthPrime wrote: Its an activity book with 3 sticker sheet pages in the front of the book. Did you use the free shipping option? That might be the reason for the delay.MJW wrote:I'm still waiting for my copy to ship from Amazon, and I've had it pre-ordered since May. On Monday it went into "shipping soon," but switched back to "not yet shipped" yesterday.

I've had a few issues with Amazon in the past, but they usually fix the problem quickly or issue a refund if needed.

I went to Best Buy first to get my copy because I was going to get the plush, but when I got there only 1 was left. I grabbed it, then walked around the store to look what blu-rays were marked down. Then I overheard a little girl walk up to the display excited to see that you could get a free Dumbo toy, but then her mom walked up and saw they were all gone. I saw how dissapointed the little girl was and my heart kinda melted so I gave her mine since the mom was going to purchase the movie.
I then decided I would shop around to see if any other location had it cheaper. I went to Wal-mart first, but they didn't have any in the blu-ray case. All of the blus were in the DVD case...
Frustrated, I moved on to Target. There I found only 2 left in the blu case with the activity book for $22.99. I grabbed it and went to purchase it, but then I had issues with the $5 coupon. After they figured out it was a manufacturer's coupon (which I had assured them it was, but what do I know right?), I was able to purchase it.
Not impressed with the activity book, I donated it to the Special Ed program at the school I work at lol. Overall, I'm surprised by how well this release has been selling. At all 3 locations I noticed I was not the only person interested in purchasing it. Hopefully this will lead to more non-diamond blu releases over the next few years.

Yeah, I used free shipping and I was aware that my item would probably not ship for release day delivery. I'd pre-ordered The Fox and the Hound the same way and got it the Saturday of release week, so I knew how the free shipping worked. My issue was that my order had gone into "shipping soon" for 3 days and then switched back to "not yet shipped." It's almost as if it went into the shipping queue and then got "put back on the shelf" or something.DarthPrime wrote: Did you use the free shipping option? That might be the reason for the delay.

That was a really nice thing to do! Just think, maybe your actions will end up leading her into a lifetime of discovering Disney classics and making great memories!singerguy04 wrote:I went to Best Buy first to get my copy because I was going to get the plush, but when I got there only 1 was left. Picked my copy up at Best Buy on Wednesday and I'm just now getting to watch it. There were no plushes left, but I don't really care all that much about them, so... no big loss for me.

Thanks MJW and DarthPrime!!!
I'm kind of a big believer in passing favors on. I really hope that the little girl and her mother will remember how nice I was and return the favor to someone else. Also, what is a 25 yr old man going to do with a Dumbo plush? I would have stuck it on a shelf with some of my other random Disney things. I bet that young girl will have hours of enjoyment playing with that plush and pulling it out whenever she watches the film. I remember when I was around the same age I had a plush littlefoot from The Land Before Time. I loved that plush for years (it was like Woody), and although it's been long lost for a while now I have many very fond memories of it. I hope its the same for her!

I am a 29 yr old man and I took the plush! The reason because I am a Disney collector and more or so my niece enjoys them as well. She is 6 and I have a tub with all Disney plush we put under the tree. She plays with them and we put them away for every Christmas.singerguy04 wrote:Thanks MJW and DarthPrime!!!

Anyways, having not watched the movie in ages, I kind of felt that they could have made the movie a bit longer. I mean, the sixty-four minute runtime seems quite short when you think about it. Surely, I'm not the only one who thinks so...
