Me too I would love to see House of Mouse on DVD sets but there might be hope I was reading this Aladdin site which I check frequently and saw that the same day Aladdin is realesed there is suppose to be the Jasmine Enchanted tales possibly on DVD. And the sotires are from the cartoon series which means there still maybe HOPE. (KEEP OUR FINGERS CROSS) :) And hopefuly the information was correct. :)

What do you mean was a cool show? It has not been cancelled has it? They had a new episode in May along with a new House of Mouse movie.

I love to watch House of Mouse!!!
But Disney should first release Gargoyles on DVD.
Also great to mention Duck Tails, Chip 'n' Dale Rescue Rangers, Tale Spin, Darking Duck, Goof Troop, Aladdin and Hercules on DVD.
But I don't know when it will happen.

I doubt they would release Aladdin or Little Mermaid series to DVD cause well they are old...I see House of Mouse etc being released cause thats still a new show with new episodes coming out of it, if that havent released the old shows yet they probably not going to now, why would they?

Since when has House of Mouse had new episodes?

I know the newest episode I've heard of was one with Lilo and Stitch, but I never saw that one on the Disney channel yet, and I've must've seen all of them since I constantly see repeats. Anyhow, I would definitely enjoy a House of Mouse DVD seasons set. My favorite episode is the one with the fake black and white duck character that idolized Donald. "Have a sandwich!"

It would be nice to see them, but it's definitely my last pick for Disney toons to come to DVD, especially since it's in such heavy rotation. How many episodes are there?

According to tv tome House of Mouse is 51 episodes divided across 4 seasons, plus 1 tv movie and 3 videos. But i don't know if that list is completly up to date.

And there's always its predecesor, Mouse Works... :P

I went to this site and was surprised to read about a lot of episodes I haven't seen like Stitch Night, House of Turkey, and Pete's House of Villains. Has anyone seen the HOM TV movie called "A Fantasian Tale"? The site says it aired on May 7th of this year, probably on Toon Disney.

While there may be other series people think more worthy of release (and not that I particularly disagree, but my personal favourite is House of Mouse) it is important to consider the context of House of Mouse.

The first season is only 13 episodes. A nice round figure for a 2 disc set, plus room for some bonus features. Then, so far there's 51 episodes (plus a TV movie) over 4 seasons. That means each season can comfortably fit in a 2 disc set.

If Disney really are serious about testing cartoon series on DVD, House of Mouse seems the obvious choice. Small sets (but still seasonal), plenty of scope for supplements (come on, it covers the whole Disney animated universe, lots of potential), room for some non-HoM shown MouseWorks shorts as supplements and perhaps most importantly it could have a mid-level price.

The only thing that may cause a problem are the number of voice actors may cause legal problems for clearances.

Update

I see that link says season 1 was 18 episodes! Oops! I wonder if we have a Futurama-type situation where the seasons don't match how they were transmitted? I looked on a site a while back (forgotten the name now) and it insisted that season 1 only had 13 episdoes. Oh well, off to update my sig!

13. 1-13 14-Apr-2001 Pluto Saves the Day
14. 1-14 22-Sep-2001 Daisy's Debut
Yes, there seems to be an extended transmission gap between episodes 13 and 14. This raises the question about what actually is a season.

Anyhow Season 1 could be followed by a combined Season 2 & 3 set and finally a Season 4 + TV Movie set. All could be modestly priced 3 disc sets.

It really does seem the ideal way for Disney to dip their toes into Disney TV cartoons on DVD sets. Other shows seem to have far to many episodes (check out S2 of Rescue Rangers!)

There was also a big gap(I think November to May this year for episodes 49 and 50). I think you just leave it up to the producers and channel. It is their vision.

W :o W at The Rescue Rangers! It's not too many episodes to release, it's just an uneven organization. Clearly, they'd have to release them as something other than season sets... maybe just call them chronological volumes... but then it's just a Treasure. lol
