You mean because you don't agree with them? Worst reason ever. That's like being a Goliath fanboy only because one agrees with what he says. Bad reasons.Dr Frankenollie wrote:I've agreed with Duster a few times and his resilience in the Disney Essence debate is fairly impressive, but nonetheless he often displays a lack of regard for logic, fairness, sense and evidence, and on several threads wastes bandwidth by complaining that it looks too 'un-Disney-ish' (or something like that). If he continues in the manner he's been in for I'm sure has been quite a few years, then he should at least be suspended again.

Dr Frankenollie wrote:Could you remind me exactly what Goliath said? In the Wishing thread, did he say something like: "Look how Duster turned out"?
That's correct.
Maybe it's just me, but even though that is clearly a joke (and as Golaith doesn't like Duster it's probably not what I'm going to say) but I feel that could be interpreted as a compliment, saying that the Disney message helped Duster grow up into a good person.
I doubt this given how he has claimed to like Disney movies that involve goals as opposed to good fortune. I feel the same way (about Disney movies), but the snide remark was out of order.

You don't know why Duster was suspended last month, and whether or not he is again, isn't your decision to make.

Okay, that's your opinion, but remarks, especially those only in text form, (because facial expressions and tones can usually help understand a message and usually sarcasm is hard to interpret online) are open to interpretation. I've spoken to Goliath on the chatroom, and he mentioned that he planned on adding aDisney Geek wrote:I doubt this given how he has claimed to like Disney movies that involve goals as opposed to good fortune. But to be fair, it's perfectly understandable that Luke thought it was cyber-bullying, and perhaps Goliath could be more tactful in future.
I do know, because CJ very kindly answered my questioning of why in the Feedback area of the forum. I know it's not my decision to make, but I think he should be (for lack of a better word) disciplined a bit more.Disney Geek wrote:You don't know why Duster was suspended last month, and whether or not he is again, isn't your decision to make.
I don't see anything wrong with liking someone who has the same views as me.Disney Duster wrote:I have a feeling that is the true reason he is a fan of Goliath, and says he's the smartest person here, etc. His opinions are still valid, though.The_Iceflash wrote:That's like being a Goliath fanboy only because one agrees with what he says.

If you think Duster (or ANY member) is making a personal attack on you*, report it. If the mods think it was a personal attack, they'll take the appropriate action.but I think he should be (for lack of a better word) disciplined a bit more.
Otherwise, keep your thoughts about who needs to be disciplined to yourself. The mods are perfectly capable of reading various threads, and if they see ANY poster who is stirring up trouble, making personal attacks, continuing hot subjects after being told to drop it, and so on, they can decide what action needs to be taken in that particular case.
I don't know why, but I've seen more animosity from you towards Duster recently, if you don't like the guy, just don't respond to his posts any more. It almost feels like you are blaming him for Goliath's suspension.
Also, you said you "like" Goliath, because his views are like yours. Does that mean you "dislike" Duster, because his views AREN'T like yours?
It's funny, I've seen more talk about Duster than Goliath, in this Goliath Appreciation Thread.
Also, the addition of a smiley doesn't automatically negate a personal attack. If poster a says poster b is a stupid moron, is it all better if he adds a wink at the end?
* I was going to say if you saw someone make a personal attack on ANYONE, report it, but the mods may prefer that the person who was attacked to be the one who reports it, I don't really know.

Duster hasn't 'attacked' me for a while (and he apologised the last time), yet deliberately stirs up trouble all the time.littlefuzzy wrote:Exactly!Dr Frankenollie wrote: I know it's not my decision to makeIf you think Duster (or ANY member) is making a personal attack on you*, report it. No, I dislike Duster because he's ignorant, he refuses to listen to reason and logic, he loves to ignore evidence which is against his points, he twists his opponents' words and always tries to make his opponent looks like a 'bad guy'.littlefuzzy wrote:Also, you said you "like" Goliath, because his views are like yours. Goliath meant that the wink would insuate that he wasn't serious and wasn't trying to be mean to Duster; it may still have conveyed hostility to some, but in my opinion most traces of hostility would be erased by the wink.littlefuzzy wrote:Also, the addition of a smiley doesn't automatically negate a personal attack. The longest suspensions typically last only 2 weeks.
He seems to have been suspended on September 3rd. He'll probably be let off suspension tomorrow. It's not an automatic thing, the admin / mod(s) have to actually go into his whatever and un-suspend him from there.
Here's a quick-link to Goliath's profile:
http://www.dvdizzy.com/forum/profile.ph ... ile&u=7310
When it doesn't say "Suspended" anymore, that's the best / quickest way to find out if he's still suspended.

Unless it isn't a first offense.Khonnor wrote:Well, it's been more than 2 weeks....
really harsh to suspend someone more than 2 weeks for such a comment.
Now I know I've seen this behavior somewhere before. Not from who you're talking about though. lolDr Frankenollie wrote:No, I dislike Duster because he's ignorant, he refuses to listen to reason and logic, he loves to ignore evidence which is against his points, he twists his opponents' words and always tries to make his opponent looks like a 'bad guy'.
The first part can be translated into "doesn't agree with what they say". If Duster doesn't "agree" with such "evidence", that makes them ignorant?
Oh and BTW, I'll take ignorance over arrogance any day of the week.

Indeed. I'm irked that the moderators have yet to lift Goliath's suspension.Khonnor wrote:Well, it's been more than 2 weeks....

I hope you're not referring to me or Goliath...The_Iceflash wrote:Now I know I've seen this behavior somewhere before. Not from who you're talking about though. lol
The evidence usually provided against him (especially in the Disney Essence Debate) is compromised of facts, it's not a matter of opinion whether it's right or not. However, when I said that Duster displays ignorance I meant not through his disregarding of evidence but in other ways.The_Iceflash wrote:The first part can be translated into "doesn't agree with what they say".
