My Mission 1918 novel idea

Post by bradhig »

I am working on a story called Mission 1918 in which a team of UN time travelers are sent back to 1918 to save the Romanov's from the cellar.
The idea is that they flood the room with sleeping gas to knock everyone out and then lead the Romanov's to a waiting shuttle and replace them in the cellar with clones so history is preserved. Someone on another site suggested the Nicholas and Alexandra would never allow someone else to die in their place claiming I didn't know much about them. Another problem was eliminating Russia's shame about the execution. My idea is that once the family reaches the future and the Russian people know what happened they won't be in shame anymore.

So far it's only partially written the team just failed simulation of the mission and haven't been sent on the real thing yet.

What does everyone here think? Could the story work?

you could say they were forced onto the shuttle.

so far, so good, but it helps to learn a little.

or carried aboard asleep. I have been learning more and more about the Romanov's everyday. The point of the story is that all of them have to be rescued and it's gonna turn out that rescuing them from the cellar is the easy part.

Now that person is claiming it would be against their religious beliefs to let someone die in their place. They are making sound like the story won't work. Makes me wonder if I should go on. Makes me wonder if it would just tank and no one would read it.

just keep going. dont worry about one guy's opinion. there are plenty other people to listen to, including your instincts.

I am still writing it. The idea is based on my beliefs that time travelers may have saved Anastasia and some if not all of her siblings but I see only a remote chance they could or would have saved the parents. It's sad that most closed minded people get real confrontational and most of us open minded people don't.

I haven't done anything with story for awhile cause I have been writing some fanfics. I am upset at people on the Anastasia board at IMDB who think I am crazy because of my idea's of time travelers rescuing anymore. Makes me wonder if anyone would read my story anyway?
