Damn, I just got the DVD. Oh well let's see how the extras are now that the film has a bit of a cult following now plus the fact that Cap being in the same vain and from the same man did very well this year.

Albert is jumping for joy somewhere.

Personally, I've never seen it so I probably won't pick it up.

I bought the DVD over the Summer since I heard it's kind of underrated, but I have not seen it.

This is great news to me!! I figured it was likely to happen since Disney made a screening event of it's anniversary this past June. I'm looking forward to any bonus features they surely will provide.

I've yet to see this movie, but due to its cult following I've become tempted to do so; I was going to pick up a DVD edition some time soon, but I'll be happy to wait for the Blu-Ray release (I'll be even happier if somebody can tell me whether or not it will be released as a Blu-Ray/DVD combo).

If you liked Captain America, you'll like this one. Both are comic book movies, both are directed by Joe Johnston, and both take place during the WW2 era.

Hopefully, the picture will be better than the dvd. Also, some sort of tribute to Dave Stevens, who passed away not long ago, would be nice. As well as a commentary of some kind. As to the cover....I really wished they had used the art deco style poster art instead of the cover from the dvd. Maybe that art we've seen is just temp art ?

Even if it is just the movie, this release should be better then the original DVD release for the anamorphic widescreen alone! Any decent extras will only make this an even stronger release. Let's hope they get put on! It's about time this film get the Home Entertainment release it's deserved thins whole time!

I don't care if it comes in a "plain brown wrapper", I will add this to my collection.

For those who don't know, you can easily find this movie on DVD at Best Buy for $4.99 or in the Wal-Mart $5 bin. The film never did get an Anamorphic transfer, and other than that, I thought it was a good presentation with a great soundtrack and we were introduced to the beautiful Jennifer Connelly.

The cast is fantastic with Timothy Dalton as the protagonist, and Terry O'Quinn as Howard Hughes. Also in the cast is Billy Campbell, and Alan Arkin, who plays the cantankerous Peavy.

This is one of the best 'period' films done by Disney. And I hope that the Blu-ray will have some extras for us to enjoy, but anything over and above a bare-bones release will be welcome in my collection.

I rarely purchase anything without seeing it first. But if you looked at my post just above yours, I'll probably check it out (ie, rent it from the library or find it online).
