See, I'd been counting on making a trip from Nevada to Illinois to visit some family within the next few months, and since my brother's dog recently had puppies (they're now old enough to be away from their mother) I was hoping to bring one of them back home to Vegas with me.
But the thing is that our car broke down on Monday, and from the looks of it the damage is very extensive; at this point it appears the entire engine will have to be replaced, and if that is the case, we won't be able to afford the trip. 
We're thinking about actually having the puppy shipped here through a service that specializes in transporting animals instead, but since I'm finding so little information at the moment I thought I'd check in here to see if anyone has had experience in doing this. I do know that the puppy will need a vet examination and all vaccinations before the trip which I'm sure my brother can arrange, and of course I want a service that will be safe and reliable.
If anyone has any information or experience that could point me in the right direction it would be greatly appreciated.
