So when all is said and done, we are getting an edited version of the film when it premiers Friday night??? Am I correct? You know that Disney would never show a movie commercial free on their own network, so that means there will be some editing.

We will watch it as a family, but will definitely be buying it August 23rd when it comes to DVD in its two-disc set, which includes a CD with 8 songs on it.

:) :)

I just received an answer back from an e-mail I sent to Disney about the new Phineas and Ferb movie "Phineas and Ferb Across the Second Dimension" that premiers on the Disney Channel tomorrow, August 5th, and they confirmed that the film IS EDITED to fit in the 90 minute time slot.

This is pretty sad, that even Disney can't find an extra few minutes in their cheesy programing to allow a movie to be shown in its entirety on its premier evening.

The reply also states that the film will be shown unedited at a later date, but failed to disclose when that might be.

August 23rd is the release date for the DVD version of the movie, so I guess I will just have to wait until then to see it unedited.

Anyone else watching this movie tonight on Disney Channel at 8 pm Eastern, 7 pm Central. "Phineas and Ferb Across the Second Dimension" will be shown with almost 10 minutes edited out for the time zone it is shown in, and no explanation.

DVD release of the film (87 minutes plus all the extras and a second CD disc containing 8 songs) will be on August 23rd.

Well, it's apparently getting a theatrical release in the Netherlands and Belgium. Why just those countries, I have no idea. Maybe Phineas and Ferb have a massive following over there.

That was my feeling exactly!!

I think I enjoyed it more than my grandkids did!!! We sat as a family and watched it and really laughed and had a good time. It is a terrific movie and I hope that it isn't the last venture into 'full-length feature films' for Phineas and Ferb. It was a wonderful time for all of us.

Cannot wait for August 23rd when then DVD release of "Phineas and Ferb Across the Second Dimension" is released so we can see the missing 10 minutes that was edited for television, and the bonus episode of Phineas and Ferb, along with an 8-song CD soundtrack, and the 8-deleted scenes.

Have still not quite understood why Disney saw fit to edit this movie for a 90-minute time slot, when the only commercials they ran were for promotions of the other lame shows that are on the channel, with quick 10-second blurbs for a 'true' sponsor. They should have put it into a two-hour time slot and be done with it.

They edited the movie so they can advertise the DVD as having ten minutes of bonus footage! I don't care as I will get the video and really loved this film.

I love the series, it is truly Disney Channel's Spongebob, only the exact opposite. P&F is a clever and funny show about a pair of creative and very intelligent character (even Doof is pretty smart) and Spongebob is a very funny show about two really, really stupid characters.

So this is really going to be released on DVD? I'll definitely buy it!

I really want Disney to release season sets of this show, but I know how Disney very rarely releases season sets of their own shows..... so I just have to settle for their single-disc releases.

If you have been living in a cave or don't realize that there is a full-length movie starring Phineas and Ferb, DISXDHD is the place you want to be on Saturday, August 13, as from 6 am until 7 pm they will be having a Phineas & Ferb Marathon during which time they will show the movie "Phineas & Ferb Across the 2nd Dimension" twice. Here's your chance to get caught up to what the boys have been up to this season along with their fantastic full-length feature film.

DISXDHD, Saturday, August 13th - don't forget the date!!!

...... The Disney Channel's animated "Phineas and Ferb: Across the 2nd Dimension," was the year's most-watched cable movie, drawing 7.6 million viewers. It was also the year's No. 1 scripted program among children 6 to 11.

DISXDHD is allowing 1 hr 45 min. for "Phineas and Ferb Across the 2nd Dimension" at both showings Saturday, August 13. I hope this means that we won't get an edited version of the movie, like Disney Channel gave us last week.

Along with a marathon of some of the best episodes of "Phineas & Ferb", DISXDHD will be showing the movie twice during the Marathon of Phineas of Ferb, once in the morning and once in the afternoon.

It all begins at 4 a.m. Eastern and looks like a day to set your DVR's for some great family entertainment. Looks to be a great day for Phineas and Ferb fans!!!

Any one else watch this Marathon on DISXDHD today. So far, it has been really good, and I am recording the "Phineas & Ferb Across the 2nd Dimension" movie because they are allowing an hour and 45 minutes for this 87- minute film. Let's hope that they just don't add another fifteen minutes of commercial promotions for other shows on DISXDHD.

Lot of really good Phineas & Ferb episodes from seasons past on this all day marathon which goes until 7 pm tonight.
