I started to watch the first series (2005) on Netflix (which I have a one free month subscription to) just to see what the show is like. My problem is of how many different versions of the show there is, which makes it difficult of where to begin.JiminyCrick91 wrote:Doctor Who: Series Six, Part One [Blu-ray]

Anyways..
From the Amazon Marketplace:
Looney Tunes Golden Collection: Volume 4 - 21.99
Now my Looney Tunes DVD collection is nearly complete. I still need the Foghorn Leghorn DVD. (I don't count the spotlight collection dvds as they are just watered down versions of the golden collections.)

Well there is only two versions of the show the revival 05-now and the classic series 1963-1989 (and 1996). It's just that in that long of a time something has to change be it the writers, sets, tone, companions, Doctors or whatever things always change. I suppose 11's start could be seen as another new start however as he gets a new everything and little is really carried on from the last.PixarFan2006 wrote:I started to watch the first series (2005) on Netflix (which I have a one free month subscription to) just to see what the show is like. I started this past year with A Christmas Carol then went to Series Five, then One-Four/specials, saw all of Series Six thus far and have been bouncing about the classic stuff. I've become REALLY into it REALLY quick.

I got hooked last year. I haven't watched much classic stuff, but love the 2005 - Present series. I started with Series 5, and had no trouble. I later went back and watched Series 1 - 4 (and the Specials). Series 5/6 have a different feel than Series 1 - 4. I would recommend starting with the current Doctor at Series 5. If you like it, go back and watch the previous stuff.JiminyCrick91 wrote:Well there is only two versions of the show the revival 05-now and the classic series 1963-1989 (and 1996). Anyway I'm debating picking up the Part 1 set, or waiting for the Complete set. The price is right for the Part 1 set. Are there any features on it, or is it just the episodes?

Oh the complete set will have many more extras. I have yet to watch them but I hear the only thing on Part one are "two featurettes called “Monster Files”. They run 24 minutes and provide an overview of some of the aliens, monsters and creatures that appear in series six." I will deal with it I'm sure at least my Christmas Carol will have an extra not seen on the full Series Six.DarthPrime wrote: Anyway I'm debating picking up the Part 1 set, or waiting for the Complete set. Those of you who like to shop Target, or Super Target stores, get ready. Here in Wichita, they are going to have a $5 bin of ONLY Blu-ray titles starting Sunday and last through the first 15 days of August. I happen to be there while they were setting it up and scrounged a couple of great $5 Blu-ray titles:
Another Stake Out
The Italian Job - the one with Mark Wahlberg
