Mason_Ireton wrote:aw man that's a bummer, really liked Morn Report. unless you meant the scene won't be in the "orignal" version then its all good :) this'll be a great aniv. gift for my fiancee.... once a while she'll ask me what are the new bonuses for the D.E

What can we expect pic wise Mooky? is the restoration bet'ter, what sections did they put in 3d??
I saw the 3D trailer in front of Cars 2....and the trailer was the entire Circle of Life opening....and it looks more 3D than Cars 2....considering The Lion King was not made for 3D...and if it's like that...I bet it was great...I mean it was more 3D than Nightmare Before Christmas in my opinion.....the trailer was that it is...I'm taking my Girlfriend, my mom and my dad to see it when it hits theaters in the USA for 2 weeks only to the closest place that's showing it...and If it's playing locally.....I might make a record of seeing it every single day for 2 weeks...what can I say...I'm a huge Lion King Fan....and I just Can't wait to see this movie in 3d Theaters :pink:

Although does Mooky live outside the USA? Since I would think that's the only way to see it in a theater since it's not out in the USA yet. And if what Mooky saw was outside the USA....doesn't mean for sure that Morning Report will be missing from the US release....and while that sounds crazy...this is Disney Marketing of the 21st Century we're talking about

Well I found it enjoyable, least it wasn't the orignal song they had in mind "dad's day out" where Mufusa sung.

The film looked absolutely fantastic visually. I think there may have been few minor enhancements made for the new version: in particular, the one thing that stood up to me was during the end fight between Simba and Scar - when they punch each other, you can see some spit coming out of their mouth, which I don't remember seeing before. All in all, it was a sight to behold.

As for 3D, while the whole movie was filled with 3D effects, it was most noticeable during "Circle Of Life", "I Just Can't Wait To Be King", the stampede, and the final battle sequences. And much like disneyboy20022 said, to me it actually felt more organic, or rather more impressive than in live-action films or some of the CG features. It definitely helped the whole 'storybook feel' of the hand-drawn animation.

And btw, yes, I live outside the United States. :)

So, guys! I'm happy to announce that I'm going to see "The Lion King" next month on Broadway with my parents! I'm so exicited, we got Orchestra seats (not front seats, but I got the first couple rows with Anything Goes which I'm seeing the night before) and I'm spoiling myself with videos of TLK. It looks incredible with the puppets, songs etc. and right now, I'm obsessed with it! :D

Did anyone else see it? This is my 2nd Disney show on Broadway BTW---I saw Mary Poppins with my school on our annual Jr/Sr NYC Trip (for people who do theatre at my school) in January. MP was great too!

I don't know but I knew durnin the scene where Mufassa was showin Simba the kingdom, he was suppose to sing and the producers thought it'd kill the tone of story after the dramatic Circle Of Life sequence.

DisneyPrincess, you're gon'na love Lion King on Broadway, it's a fantasic show, the performace are well played, the songs develops the story here/there, I saw it in my Sophmore year of High School and was deeply impressed with the show along with Beauty/Beast. I think you'll enjoy the body puppets (Timon, The Hyenas), they're just amazin. Defintly recommend it.

ah man, that's why I saw the Mary Poppins ad on Katu News, *head meets desk* dang it, I wanted to see it, heard it was kinda dark and that it kept the book's tone.

Ugh, I'm jealous a bout Beauty & the Beast! Mom and I wanted to see it, but it closed. :( And Mary Poppins was dark in a couple of scenes. One scene was REALLY creepy as heck! SPOILERS:

Jane and Micheal accidentelly ripped Jane's toy....a clown doll. It came to life and GOD he was creepy! I tried to shake it off because he was only a innocent doll, but DANGIT! He was a clown, so his voice and costume creeped us out! Then, all of the toys came to life and started to get the kids and DANG! The clown looked a pedo during the song! O___O The other scene was Marry Poppins vs an evil nanny and Mary put the nanny in a bird cage and the nanny was dragged off the stage with the cage. That crept me out too.

Other than that, great show! Go see it! I also saw Phantom of the Opera with my school! That was great too!

Wow that does sound creepy like Twilight Zone creepy, but that other bit with Mary sounds like somethin you'd see on Celeb. Deathmatch

and I agree with arjarrow, you won't be disapointed at all with Lion King Broadway.

Beauty/Beast was pretty good too, I think I saw the one with the actress from Soprano or the actress who played Meg in Herclues (remember I went in my soph. year 2004)

According to Wiki, you saw either Megan McGinnis or Kim Possible aka Christy Carlson Romano. Susan Egan was the first Belle, so u didnt see her.
