@ disneyboy: That statue with Jesus and Mickey, is that supposed to be Vladimir Lenin holding Mickey's other hand?
Disney Duster wrote:Goliath, I could easily say the same of you, that you need perspective. The girl who bought those glasses obviously knows that it is ironic and she's treating Jesus as something unholy because she doesn't believe in the guy she's wearing, and even Alphapanchito, her friend, said it might have been for irony.
No, in fact you couldn't say that about me, because I'm not the one going apeshit over a f*cking pair of sunglasses. How is it "treating Jesus as being unholy" by wearing sunglasses? The girl was an atheist anyway, so she didn't think of Jesus as being 'holy' anyway. So even if she hadn't bought the glasses, she still wouldn't think he was holy. But you act like there's some malevolent thought-process behind it. There isn't: it's just a chick who bought glasses. NOW do you get what I meant with 'perspective'?
Disney Duster wrote:Basically, you're telling me not to treat something I think is holy...as something holy.
I'm not telling you to do anything. I just asked you to be not such a drama-queen over something as trivial and insignificant as a pair of glasses that somebody you don't know bought and wears for reasons you neither understand nor is any of your business.
Disney Duster wrote:But I don't care if you disagree with any of this at all, because it's quite clear that you're just going to respond very angrily to me instead of calmly trying to actually understand my points.
Yeah, that must be it.
