Tommorowland sure is a wasteland these days.

Pressler and Harriss had no clue what they were doing. Shopping mall execs trying to run a theme park. Cut corners everywhere during the Tommorowland upgrade and just about everything sucked when they were done. Now Space Mountain is down for 18 months and the place is a ghost town.

I always loved the Sub Rides and Circle Vision as a kid. Of course, with Buzz Lightyear ride going in where Circle Vision used to be that one wont be comeing back. They were in the process of bringing back the subs about six months ago when they figured out an employee( a fairly high ranking one) through away all the props for the ride. They would have been too expensive to refabricate, so the ride is back into storage.

Somehow I dont think Disney is any rush to get back with Michael Jackson right now.

Good luck to Jay Rasulo sorting this one out.

People Mover must be reinstated, and Astro Orbiter moved atop the platform where the Rockets used to be. I'm not sure which of those to vote for. I've never been to DL, but I've read and seen a lot, and to me, those are a package deal. It's the same in WDW, my Disney home base. :)

Carousel of Progress was actually moved to Walt Disney World sometime in the late seventies to mid eighties (all I know is that it was there in '88 for my first visit), so that one still exists at least. It's only open at various seasons, though, so that's not much fun.

And how long did the Rocket Rods even last?

The People Movers, know as Tomorrowland Transit Authority now, is a fun and relaxing ride. I always do it whenever I go to WDW.

The Carousel of Progress was a great ride, I was lucky enough to see it twice on my last trip in May. Since that attraction is open "seasonally" it's hardly ever open. It has been open since the Alien Encounter attraction has been shut down to be turned into Stitch's Great Escape.

I was never on the others you mentioned since I've only been to WDW not Disneyland. So, I would actually vote on this one 'none of the above.' I say build an all new attraction! One I'd like to see would be based off of a really cool toy I had as a kid called Rocket Tubes. They were these clear plastic tubes and you could put this lil casule in them with an action figure inside and they would be transported by using air inside the tubes. It was extremely cool!

I'd also lose that Indy Speedway thing. I can ride cars like that at any park and it really has nothing to do with Tomorrowland. Put my Rocket Tube ride in instead. Thanks.

Perfect for this. Everyone take a look at it, and then vote.

I actually *just* looked a that before I signed on here. It looks like they removed most of the rides and attractions out there. That's pretty dumb! Well, for the rides where they still have the vehicles and track, they should reopen them. They need to put my Rocket Tubes in to replace the Skyway attraction, the tubes could run right through the mountain and it would be very cool.

Well, seeing as I spent most of last week at Disneyland, I have to go with the Submarine Voyage. Of all the rides they took out, that one is the most glaringly obvious. I mean, there's a huge, empty lagoon just sitting there taking up space. It's just... wrong. One of my friends had heard that they added some mermaids/props/whatever to it, but nope. Still empty.

Oh, and with Space Mountain out of commission until next year, there was almost no one in Tomorrowland. It's a ghost town. I almost don't care what they add, as long as they add something to fix it.

The Carossel of Progress was at Disney World Christmas of '96. I would like to see the submarine voyage since it was at neither disneyworld or land when I visited them.

I've gotten to do Carousel of Progress once. I remember it, but vaguely. Fortunately, it's gonna be open for my trip this summer! :D I was there when the 20K ride was open too, but I was too afraid to ride it when I was little, so I missed out on it for good :(

Tomorrowland needs serious help, and did even back in 95 when I was there. When I went in October of 95, it was the deadest of the four times I've gone as an adult. I think Rocket Rods were operational for two years or something, it's too bad they didn't keep it cause it looked like a lot of fun; I just didn't want to wait in line for it in 99. I personally think they replaced Captain Eo pretty well with the Honey I shrunk the audience, Captain Eo was just way too dated. I voted for the Submarine since I really liked that one when I was seven.

I'm probably in the minority, but I like the general design concept of the new tomorrowland. I think it's really neat, and won't ever look dated like the 60's themed version did. It's just too bad they can't back it up with some more attractions. But on the bright side it has some of my favorite attractions (Star tours and Space Mountain) and my favorite restaurant in the entire park (the pizza port has the BEST meatballs I've ever had). Even in its current state, Tomorrowland tied with New Orleans square as my favorite area of Disneyland.

Well I think they were too quick to give up on the Rocket Pods. I never even had the chance to try them and break down on them! Shoot!~

The Submarine Voyage track is still under that water. I always thought they could remake it with a Finding Nemo theme.

Owl - I tried them once. It was absolutely terrible from two points of view.

The ride did not have enough capacity. This led to huge lines for a very short ride.

Paul Pressler in all his wisdom slashed the budget. Originally the ride imagineers envisioned banked corners which would have added significant G-Force in parts of the ride and made it at least a bit of a thrill. Instead, Pressler diverted budgets to the retail stores. Much like went on at DCA.
