I never would have guessed! The way you write (particularly your 'essays' on the movies you've watched), I thought you were about my age.Dr Frankenollie wrote:I'm not going to reveal my actual age, but it's less than 15.

Not surprised most people here are in the 20 range. I’m guessing the majority of UD’s members grew up during the ‘90s, when Disney was flourishing.

One of the best things about all the FF games are their soundtracks--especially those by Uematsu. I've always thought his soundtracks for FFX and FFIX were his best, but that might be because I'm preferential to the later games in general. "To Zanarkand" is one of my favorites, too, actually. He's amazing.
I'm a bit of perfectionist, too. That's why you'll see these super-long list posts where all the numbers have to be perfectly bolded, titles italicized, etc. Or would that be considered anal-retentive?Scarred4Life wrote:I’m a perfectionist.
Oh, yeah, I've heard that.Goliath wrote:Interesting you should know [Nobuo Uematsu]. I've never heard of him, until (years and years ago), a friend of mine send me a wonderful little bit of music done by him and someone named Aki Kurado. It was apparently done for one of the 'Final Fantasy' videogames and it's called 'To Zanarkand' . Do you know this bit of music? It's a simple, but beautiful piece of piano playing.

I use to be a perfectionist when it came to my drawings as I use to try make everything perfect looking. I realize that's the WRONG way to go. Now I don't worry about making everything perfect and my drawings come out much much better than before.Disney's Divinity wrote:I'm a bit of perfectionist, too. We disagree on numerous stuff but at least this is something we BOTH can agree on.Disney's Divinity wrote:One of the best things about all the FF games are their soundtracks--especially those by Uematsu.

And, yeah, being a perfectionist can be really stifling when it comes to art and those kinds of things, because there's always some way you think you can improve it. It really can drive you crazy, so it's best to be relaxed. I'm glad it's worked out for you.

You shouldn't say that about yourself. I once read something that stuck with me for some reason: "Don't speak ill of yourself. Your friends will do so for you."Linden wrote:I like being a redhead.
I'm not very pretty otherwise, but I've always gotten compliments for my hair (especially from old women, for some reason).
(That's not cheerful at all. But I meant to say you shouldn't think badly of yourself.)

Re: Getting to know you
Name: Keith
Age: 16
Birthday: May 27, 1995
Birthplace: Somewhere in northeast Tennessee...
Hair Color: Reddish. Or it used to be. Depending upon the time of the year, the place, and the person, it can be red, blonde, or brown.
Eye Color: Blue
Height: 6 something
Heritage: English, Irish, and Scottish mostly. A little Native American thrown in, too.
Likes
Movies: The Little Mermaid, Mary Poppins, Harvey, Ben-Hur. There are more, but those are my go-to four.
Books: Peter Pan is my favorite book of all time. I also love The Last of the Really Great Whangdoodles and The Scarlet Letter. Growing up I adored The Magic Tree House series, and they still hold a place in my heart.
TV: The Three G's: Gargoyles, Glee, and The Golden Girls. But not necessarily in that order.
Food: I always hate these categories... I like a lot of foods, but I can never think of anything that I'd consider really superior to anything else... Simple rustic things, I guess, with no mayonaisse...
Candy: Now this is a category I can answer. Anything with chocolate and smooth caramel (not chewy) is a gift. You can add nougat, you can add peanuts, whatever, but there's nothing as delicious as plain milk chocolate and plain caramel paired together! Yum......
Drinks: I love a Coke.
Stores: Amazon, forever.
Music: I honestly don't listen to much music. I have very wide tastes, though. I like classic showtunes, current pop, classic rock, eighties tunes. I don't like metal or rap.
Animals: For wild animals, I love deer and dolphins. I don't know which one is more majestic. As for domesticated animals, dogs definitely. As for a specific breed, I grew up with dachsaunds and still love them.
Actors/Actresses: Well, the answer to this question is blatantly clear. Julie Andrews, of course. Also like Kate Hepburn, Bette Davis, Jimmy Stewart, Charles Loughton, Chaplain, Leonardo di Caprio, Anne Hathaway (in the right vehicle), Debbie Reynolds, and so on and so on. I could make lists and lists...
Color: Maroon, or burgundy. Simple red will suffice.
Talents/Interests
I like to write. I've acted, and fancy myself a singer, although I have terrible stage fright in front of people when it comes to singing. Can't dance to save my life, and have no interest. I've also tried my hand recently at making films and made a small student project last month. I won't see the finished product for a few more months, but we had fun making it. I also like to cook.

I'm sure your pretty, people don't really know if they're attractive or not, and besides vanity can make even the most attractive people look bad, so at least you don't have that.Linden wrote:I like being a redhead.

How come so many people on UD seem so much younger than I would have thought? I would want to praise you for your maturity, but maybe that would come off as belitteling, so I just won't say anything.UmbrellaFish wrote:Age: 16
