Mostly due to biological inner nature. Majority of mammal species, males go around and do the fucking. In a Lion pride, There's like 1 or 2 males but bunch of females. In Gorilla pack, usually one male leader with female followers. In deer species male bucks go looking for females to fuck. Humans are not exempted from this either. Though we are higher intelligence, we still hold the inner animalistic nature inside us that surfaces in these cases. No matter how hard or how much you try to fight against it or preach gender equality, this nature behavior will always be part of us.

Did I say Ray J was 'the man'? He's a whore too.. Where did I say men couldn't be famewhores like Paris or Kim? The guys in those tapes are every bit as idiotic, but I don't think we were talking about them?Goliath wrote:Men casting judgement on women for their sexual habits... nice. That's the question we should be asking here.
If a man would 'star' in such a video he would be 'the man'; when it's a woman, she's a 'skank'. Will we ever get past this double standard? And will we ever stop casting women as either Madonna's or whores?
All I'm saying is that her career is based on a sex tape. Man, Woman, Neanderthal, Galgamec or Martian; it makes you a skanque. The end.

Your explanation is about human behavior. I'm not questioning or fighting that. I believe you're right when you say there are evolutionary factors that make it much more likely for men to sleep around than women. But that doesn't explain societal *judgement about* human behavior. Biological and evolutionary reasons don't explain why men and women are judged differently when it comes to sexuality. The fact that they are judged differently has to do with patriarchy.Super Aurora wrote:Mostly due to biological inner nature. Throughout all of history, no matter which time-period or culture you're talking about, men have always been in control of society and thus in control over women. It was always accepted when men had mistresses, premarital sex or multiple wives. But when a woman was sexually active before and/or outside of marriage, she was seen as filthy, as a whore, as 'not pure' anymore and she would often be cast out of society. In some parts of the world that's still true today, where women get arrested, jailed or even stoned to death for committing such 'offenses' --while men never have to fear for such things.
You're right, you didn't say that. But it's no coincidence you're only adressing this and mention men *after* I commented on it. Otherwise, you would've never involved men in it. That's not an attack on you; it's nothing personal. I think any man could've made your post. So I'm not targeting you. I just wanted to point out that the "men can be whores too"-argument that you often read on the internet *always* come at a point in the discussion *after* women have been called "whores" or "sluts", somebody commented on that, and people quickly jump in to say: "men, too!" to pretend that the words "whore" and "slut" (or "skank") are generally applied to both men and women equally. But they're not. Do people really think about men who sleep around as "whores"? No. They only say so to pretend, to justify calling women "whores".PatrickvD wrote:Did I say Ray J was 'the man'? @ disneyboy: yes, this thread has been derailed a lot, but on the other hand, it's the only way to keep Jackoleen's threads interesting.

@ disneyboy: True, but did this topic have that much going for it to begin with?
(warning: adult topic)
Well, it depends on who you talk to. Gays tend to refer to men as whores all the time. Or maybe that's just me.
But, either way, "manwhore" has become a more popular term the last decade. I like that term better than the old-fashioned "whoremonger," because the former criticizes the man for his behavior rather than sideways putting down the women (whoremonger = he made a woman into a whore, but he's not one himself) like the latter.
I'm sure that men naturally have more sex than women, biologically speaking, but there's no doubt that females in the wild have sex all the time. I remember reading that humans (along with some other animals) are unique in that women can become "in heat" at any time, rather than in certain periods. Meaning, sex = any time. Also, unlike males, we obviously know women can have multiple orgasms, etc.
I think the fact that women generally have less sex has more to do with cultural conditioning of women not to have sex much, to be emotional, and more prone to monogamous relationships only. Because women not having many sexual partners benefits men (in patriarchal society) more than it does women.

I think this happens 60 percent of the time of some threads being created...

I guess that's the opposite of Pamela Anderson. Her body is great, but her face is hideous.I can't tell you how many times I've thought, of some of the women (mostly celebrities, no less), thoughts like OMG! You're posing nude, and you may be young, but your chest is actually sagging, etc.! You are one desperate woman, whose FACE is what's selling that photo!
And I've always felt sorry for the men in some of these women's videos. Imagine having to do Paris Hilton of all things and getting nothing out of the deal.

I actually do call men whores. Quite often. I totally understand what you're trying to say and I agree with your points, but you're talking to the wrong one here. I call men whores all the time. Not that I could prove that now.Goliath wrote:You're right, you didn't say that. But it's no coincidence you're only adressing this and mention men *after* I commented on it. All I did was point out that the fact that Kim Kardashian's entire career is based on ... well, a sex tape... I think that kind of makes her a skank. I only said that because she's the topic of discussion. The sad fact is that men can't make a career out of staring in a sex tape like her, because it's not scandalous if they do. People even forget the men who were in these tapes or they just go on with their careers. The classic double standard.
But I'm done discussing Kim Kardashian. Don't care one bit about her or whatever it is that she does.

Re: He'd be Jim Morrison, of "The Doors"!
I don't know why I still answer your posts, but okay... So you're saying only 'perfect' women should pose for nude pictures? First of all, 'perfection' doesn't exist, and what makes one supposedly 'perfect' often is in the eye of the beholder. I've seen many celebrity women who are called 'perfect', but I don't see the attraction. Second, why should only drop-dead gorgeous women pose nude? Isn't that sending a very skewed message to the public? What about a little more reality in our media's portrayal of women (and men, too)? And for your comments about them being lonely or desperate... well, they make as much sense as comparing Howard Thaft to the Walrus.Jackoleen wrote:[...] How can you NOT say, "What a skank!" when some woman who looks as though she's less than the best is pretending that she's nude photo material? I'd only pose nude if I had a perfect complexion, and if my boobs were perky enough to look good with Cool Whip on them, and if my waist curved inward, and if my hips looked as round as two halves of a melon, etc.! Sorry for the almost-bannable content, but, really, I just had to say that!
You're completely right with that last sentence, but I still think most women have far less bed-partners than men have biological/evolutionary reasons: men can freely go around spreading their seed, while women are pregnant for 9 months and thus cannot pass on their genes anymore within this period of time. At least that's one explanation I've once read (yeah, I don't come up with all this stuff myself).Disney's Divinity wrote:[...] I think the fact that women generally have less sex has more to do with cultural conditioning of women not to have sex much, to be emotional, and more prone to monogamous relationships only. Don't feel sorry for them. Men aren't all that picky. And if they have a chance to say they had sex with celebrity such-and-such, they would do it in a heartbeat.Disney's Divinity wrote:[...] And I've always felt sorry for the men in some of these women's videos.
