The article's way too saccharine and hyperbolic if you ask me. They made him look like he's Father Christmas. :roll:

For some reason I picture Lasseter trying to hug folks like Brenda Chapman and Chris Sanders just after he fired them. It might be my pessimistic side.

^would he have been directly responsible for firing them? I dont really get the politics of running a corp

He's Chief Creative Officer and Executive Producer on all the Disney and Pixar movies made since he became that. He's definitely in control here, so if he's not directly responsible, then it's indirectly.
