A new low in Public Domain DVD Companies LOL

Post by Disney Guru »

Was on amazon.com this afternoon looking for an old movie and found what has to be the cheapest effort at a Public Domain DVD Company release catalog I have ever seen.

Examples of artwork:

I mean when even an amateur at photo editing such as myself could do better you know its really sad. What did the 1 employee of the company use a DVD software to take screen caps and some free picture software to do the tacky titles LOL.

And oh my goodness it just gets better they offer their films in Widescreen Transfers besides the Standard how may you ask by doing the simple thing of converting the standard to widescreen on their computer which anyone CAN DO. And it just looks tacky.

Now we all know the majority of the Public Domain DVD Company Releases don't have the best in quality and with their TV shows the tacky instrumental themes as they can't afford to license the music but at least their artworks are professional.

Examples from Alpha Video DVD releases.

Those DVDs are just begging for some custom Guru artwork!

I agree, they need better art work. The cover can in many ways be the make or break for many customers, especially with older titles. Too bad.

I do not normally buy public domain (or dollar) DVDs as they usually have the lousiest picture quailty.

I agree those covers are awful, BTW.
