Given the current trajectory, I'm expecting the new releases to be old VHS recordings of actual tv screens broadcasting Vault Disney...either that or scanned viewmasters with recreated dialogue.

@DexterRiley I agree with you to a point but most of them have been fairly good I myself am just grateful that Disney is releasing them on pressed DVDs. We can't have everything and look at Disney back in '04-'06 or so when they were releasing all those classics to the mainstream on dvd some of those prints weren't that great either. For instance Bon Voyage! one of my all time favorites the DVD print was horrible just recently re-watched it even on a Blu-Ray player still looks horrid.

As I had promised before did some screencaps from the 3 new Disney Movie Club Exclusives.

Johnny Shiloh was by far the best quality release in the bunch. Menace on the Mountain was deplorable grainy full of glitches a bit washed out digital elements was disappointed has always been one of my favorites and the fact that it stars one of the most beautiful yet underrated actresses of our time Patricia Crowley doesn't hurt either. And Flight of the Grey Wolf didn't have the digital elements issue but still not that great lots of film rolls flecks of dust etc. But then again they were never really major Disney Releases and I guess we should be grateful that Disney decided to even release them. But couldn't you have done a bit better.

Look at other past Disney Movie Club releases A Tiger Walks/Horse Without A Head they weren't exactly huge hits either but the prints were at least watchable. But then again like I have said just grateful to have these available as actual DVD pressed legit DVD releases but just wish Disney could have put a bit more care into it.

Also my apologies for the black bars on the screen-caps of the title screens, got a new laptop in December and yet to invest in some decent DVD viewing programs. So just used the traditional method of watching them on Windows Media Player full screen and using the FN/Print Screen buttons to make screen captures.

Thanks for posting the screencaps. I'm glad "Johnny Shiloh" is watchable at least. Go Moochie!

I hope they put some remastering care into higher profile unreleased titles like "Horsemasters" "Escapade in Florence" "The Prince and the Pauper" "Sign of Zorro" and "Sammy the Way Out Seal".

Since they already have a DVD master for "The Light in the Forest" from the educational version, I'm surprised that one hasn't come out yet.

Me too! I'm sincerely hoping that "The Light in the Forest" shows up as a DMC Exclusive soon!

The Light in the Forest Educational DVD doesn´t have great picture quality. As with many of the educational DVDs it seems that they are just transferred from a bad VHS copy. :( I really hope they make a upgrade and clean and restore the picture much more for a future release of The light in the forest as a Disney Movie Club Exclusive.

An interesting note I thought, "Westwrad Ho The Wagons" is available to rent off the itunes store. While I'm glad to see at least one of these titles show up there (makes sense as the soundtrack is available too), it's pan and scan like the DVD. For a CinemaScope movie I have to agree with others that is disapointing.

On an off topic note, here are some of the other DMC exclusive stuff on itunes, which would some of you recommend?:

Westward Ho the Wagons
Tonka
Scandalous John
The Wild Country
Big Red
Legend of Lobo
Superdad
Monkey's Uncle
Ride a Wild Pony
Treasure of Matecumbe
Yellowstone Cubs

I've also noticed Sword and the Rose, Sing of Zorro, The Incredible Journey and Rob Roy are available, but I have those already or am getting them soon.

Nice to know Sign of Zorro and Prince and the Pauper are available online, as maybe that means these are on someone's radar for DVD release soon.

^at Amazon. From the clip, it dearly needs remastering for DVD.
