Huh, interesting. Well then, I guess it's worth the 500 or whatever points to get it then. Thanks!enigmawing wrote:If I remember correctly, a Gold Collection release was planned but was never released in the States. I think it may have been elsewhere, possibly South America? That might be either an import or a bootleg.
I finally gave up on the possibility of a double points day in the future and entered a bunch of codes I had been saving (except my A Chrstmas Carol one since that IS worth 200 points...saving that for a double day). And of course, I have a problem....my Enchanted blu ray code from my birthday blu ray is shown as LITTLE MERMAID Ariel's beginning. Trying to get it fixed with the lady from DMR's facebook page's help.
If there HAD been a double points day I would have had 1000 points instead of what I had....

Disney Channel died when they stopped airing movies with Haley mills (Parent Trap and Pollyanna) and fun adventure movies like Swiss Family Robinson. R.I.P. the REAL Disney Channel. Date of Death: When the shows became teenie bopperish.

There is a South American release titled Meu Querido Carneirinho that is both region 1 and 4, although it is only labeled as region 4 on the back cover. If you need more affirmation that it is also region 1, it plays in all my players and they are not region free. It is totally letitimate and not a bootleg. It plays in English, Portuguese, and I think Spanish with the option to choose at the very beginning. From there the menus and audio is completely in English if English is the chosen language.enigmawing wrote:If I remember correctly, a Gold Collection release was planned but was never released in the States. With one exception, it is the same as the version available through DMR and DMC. The one exception is a very worthwhile bonus feature called Lost and Found: Rare Footage From So Dear To My Heart. It is much more pertinent to the movie than the cartoon that replaces it on the American release. The footage is restored but lacking the original audio, but it is narrated and described by two Disney historians. This bonus feature runs approximately 25 minutes long. The version available on DMR and DMC is great if you want to see the movie without spending much money, but the South American release is highly worth finding online if you are a fan of the movie for this excellent bonus feature.

So far all the DVDs I got thru DMR did not come with points. The last one I got, Fighting Prince of Donegal did not come with points. I've ordered The Story of Robin Hood so we'll see if it has points. So Dear is the next one I want to order.PixarFan2006 wrote:I got my So Dear to My Heart DVD from DMR in the mail today. It did come with points. All I need to do is find a day to watch it on.
I could be wrong here, but I think it depends on which ones are DMR exclusives. I recently got DuckTales: The Movie and Donald in Mathmagic Land and while the former didn't have points, the latter did.
EDIT: I read my DMR newsletter and noticed one of the new rewards is a Pirates of the Caribbean-themed pair of 3D glasses. What's the point if you're not supposed use them outside of the cinema and you're not even allowed to bring your own 3D glasses to the screening?

Yeah, my copy of Ducktales the movie did not have a DMR code for points.estefan wrote:I could be wrong here, but I think it depends on which ones are DMR exclusives. I recently got DuckTales: The Movie and Donald in Mathmagic Land and while the former didn't have points, the latter did.

The point of the glasses is, you pay to see a cheaper movie, and then sneak into Pirates!
May newsletter code if you didn't receive the email to click through:

I don't think they'll be any use at home if they're tied to the theatrical Real3D system, not to mention you need a powered, proprietary pair for home 3D.

I think you are supposed to bring these 3D glasses with you, as your personal/permanent pair to replace the generic, recycled ones you'd get at the theatre. How would they know or stop you from bringing them anyway? Just make sure they don't insist you hand them back at the end of the movie!estefan wrote:I read my DMR newsletter and noticed one of the new rewards is a Pirates of the Caribbean-themed pair of 3D glasses. I actually like the ideal of owning your own 3D glasses for the theater instead of using the recycled ones at the theater. Do these work for all 3D movies at the theater, or just select ones?cityguy wrote:May newsletter code if you didn't receive the email to click through:

If you found/received the code you should have also seen this blurb directly beside it:Ioz wrote:Does anyone know if the 50 bonus point code M1D17DCYEHGU can be used with any DVD or Blu-Ray to get the points?
"You will earn 50 bonus points the NEXT time you enter a Magic Code for an eligible Disney Blu-ray, DVD, or CD."
I've used this code and the two previous ones on a mix of blu rays and DVDs, and they worked every time. The first time, it even worked on a newsletter code! (They fixed that loophole later, though.

Quack Pack Vol. 1
Million Dollar Duck
Babes in Toyland
I wish they'd add more DMC exclusive yellow-border "Wonderful World of Disney" DVDs. I've been looking for Babes for a long time. Will probably order that one.
What other Pirates stuff is there? I only noticed the ball cap was new.
