Russian according to Google translator.

This movie should be good though. A nice clean start to a new story, with good old Captain Jack Sparrow. After watching the trailer though, I'm wondering what the Black Pearl is doing on a cliff (I think it's the Black Pearl) and is Jack trying to figure out how to get it down?

Disney Parks just posted this video of the Angelica meet and greet character:
<iframe title="YouTube video player" width="560" height="349" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/-fWQk5Ga4Lk" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

OK, I have to make a tiny rant about this...

Disney is making a big deal over Angelica being a "girl pirate" and that the girls are loving it.

Here's the thing, though. What about Elizabeth? Technically, she did start out as a damsel in distress kind of character. But with movies 2 and 3 she did get stronger and became the queen of the pirates so to speak. Why didn't she get her own character at the parks? She was a very important character to the plot in all three movies. She wasn't always aggressive, but she wasn't completely useless either.

Yeah, this is quite odd. I really didn't like Elizabeth, but she was important, and definitely a Pirate, especially toward the second and third movies. She was the pirate king, and captain of the Empress! Yes, in the first one, she didn't do much, but even then she did get Jack and herself off the island, fought the pirates in the cove, distracted her father and Norrington so Will could save Jack, and took the medallion away from Barbossa. And her 'pirate-ness' kept improving throughout the films. She's as deserving as any to have a character in the theme park.

Exactly my point. Elizabeth was a key played in the whole Pirates franchise. Once more, she was a damsel in distress in the first movie, but regardless if you loved or hated the second and third movie she was very important and gained a lot of character development.

It's almost as if Disney is so ashamed of the sequels that they are trying to bury any memories of the previous films and starting fresh with the fourth one, selling Angelica as both a female pirate girls can look up to and little boys (and men) to fantasize about.

So, did anyone else get the 'Are You Seaworthy?' email? It wouldn't let me do anything since I live in Canada, what's it about? It looked like some sort of contest, from what they let me see.

Just a quick blip - According to MovieTickets.com, the film's runtime is 2 hours 17 minutes. They're usually pretty accurate (they hit TRON Legacy dead on when tickets went on sale last November), so I'll bet the final runtime will be 137 Minutes, with a 5 minute margin of error. Sounds good to me! :thumb: :D
Cheers,

That big stick in Jack's hair makes me laugh. Is it just me, or has it gotten bigger since the first movie?

Jack always does look pretty insane. It's a part of his charm don't you think? By the way, here's something for everyone to play around with:
