I tried out the Blu-Ray last night. The picture is pretty decent (I could not really see much of a difference since my hdtv is only 19") but the audio is what's amazing.

Well, uh, let me say that the picture does indeed look better than "pretty decent" when viewed on a larger screen, just so you know.

It looks great! I only noticed the slightest aliasing in Violet's hair.

The soundtrack was a problem for me, cuz I never wanted to turn it down, yet I was constantly afraid of waking people up last night. It was that loud.

Fun Fact: the Blu-ray uses seamless branching when you change languages so that words like the names of the heroes being interviewed at the beginning are in French and Spanish.

Also, Bomb Voyage's subtitles can now be turned on or off, as they have a subtitle track devoted to that one scene.

That's pretty normal for Disney Blu-Rays. When you switch the language setting, it's not simply the dub that's switched. I first noticed this on The Princess and the Frog Blu-Ray.

Finally got around to watching it tonight. Looks great in hi-def! 8) Although not my favourite Pixar, it still is entertaining.

As this feature is published in Europe only as a one-discer, I bought both a local version (to have Finnish subtitles) and the U.S. version for the bonus features disc.

However, I won't give up the Scandinavian DVD version. There is an introduction on disc 1 in which Brad Bird and John Walker explain the differences between the widescreen version and the pan&scan version. Brad Bird rolls his eyes because he obviously did not like at all that Disney released The Incredibles also as a "full-screen" version in the U.S. (but not in Europe, as far as I know). This introduction (as well as the American version of it) seems to be missing from the Blu-ray releases.

Here are my 3 editions of this brilliant movie:

For some odd reason, the Scandinavian DVD edition was missing the featurette "Vowellet: An Essay by Sarah Vowell". Only now can I watch it.

^I never saw that specific introduction(I have the American one) so it should be interesting.
