'The Wild Thornberrys' Season Sets DVDs

Post by AladdinFan »

It's about time Nickelodeon start to release their animated show on traditional disc-publishing methods instead of manufacture-on-demand. Now I want Rugrats, Hey Arnold!, Angry Beavers, and etc. But I think everyone needs to buy The Wild Thornberrys: Season 1 so Nick knows that we want our awesome 90's cartoon shows.

As of right now you can pre-order it for $20.99 on Amazon.

Besides the crappy new bland logo being used (they used to have a unique Nickelodeon logo for each show, I think Thornberrys had a leaf, SpongeBob a jellyfish, Rugrats a bottle, Zim a UFO, Avatar a brush stroke, etc.), the cover art is pretty good. The Wild Thornberrys wasn't a bad show but it wasn't good enough that I'd buy it either. What I really want is Doug, Rugrats (Seasons 1-3), Rocko's Modern Life, Hey Arnold, and The Angry Beavers.

Invader Zim and Avatar would be re-buys if they ever came out on Blu.

I'm surprised it took so long. I loved this show as a child.

So this is a legit DVD, not one of amazon's burn on demand?

That's pretty cool if it is. Although I probably won't be buying Wild Thornberrys. Don't get me wrong, I liked that show a lot when it was on TV, but I don't think I'd ever watch it that much if I bought it.

I hope Nick releases Rugrats! I've only got season 2 from amazon and I'd much rather own commercially-released DVDs.

I've got all of amazon's Hey Arnold! and Doug releases, and I'd probably re-buy them on a more legit format... despite the high amount of money I spent on the amazon releases V_V

But the thing that makes Woody special, is he'll never give up on you... ever. He'll be there for you, no matter what.

Yes, this is a commercially-released DVD not a burn-on-demand DVD.

FOUR discs for 20 bucks?!? Count me in! Even with such a weird concept, I enjoyed Wild Thornberrys whenever it came on. My favorite episode was when they find the Village where Donnie (sp?) came from. That episode was so sad!

OMG! Yes this is awesome! I love Eliza & her Dad!

I love the episode where the crazy guy thinks he's a vampire & acts wild when the bats start flying in the cave!

This has to be one of my least favorite Nicktoons. It just never appealed to me at all and everytime I tried to watch it, I got bored and changed the channel.

I will probably get Rocko's Modern Life sometime down the line, though.

Yeah, I wasn't much of a fan of the show. I liked some of the characters, like Nigel and Donnie, and thought the movie was very well done, but it wasn't one of my favorites. I'd much rather watch Hey Arnold! or whatever was on Cartoon Network at the time.

I'll get Rocko, Hey Dude, and Arnold when they come out, but I'm going to pass on Thornberrys and Angry Beavers

Gotta love Nigel!
