Which title(s) would you nominate as Platinum/Diamond?

I can see why some would want "Alice in Wonderland" to be a Diamond or Platinum or whatever, but the recent Blu-ray release of it was easily the equal of "Bambi" and better than the Platinum DVD of "Peter Pan." In the end, I don't care what the hell they want to call anything as long as it's done right.

I get what SpringHeelJack is saying because I really don't care what they call the dvd...or blu ray haha (I'd still buy it). They can call it Alice in Wonderland: The Little Chick in the Rabbit Hole edition (On Blu ray combo pack, also available on Disney Dvd) for all I care! haha
It matters that the actual movie is on it!! haha
I starting collecting disney dvds in fall of 2010 & the first dvds I got were the Platinum ones so I guess I got used to all the good extras they give. Then with Alice or Fantasia they didn't give you as much information. I should stop crying for extras. At least we can watch Fantasia or Alice whenever we want to

I just don't believe that, had Walt lived, he would've labeled the package features as 'Classics'. I'm sorry to go all Duster on you, but that's really just a hunch I have. *Maybe* the films from Make Mine Music on, but Saludos Amigos???!!! Only 44 minutes, of which a large part is boring life-action footage of Disney's entourage? Agreed. In regards to the package films, I'd like to see them all get a good re-release, though the only one I really enjoy is Ichabod & Mr. Toad. I like the Bongo segment in Fun and Fancy Free and parts of Three Caballeros but I can't say I personally regard them as "classics" even if that is the official title given to them.KubrickFan wrote:To be honest, I think every Disney classic deserves a great release, whether it has a Diamond label or not.

Well, the "Classics" label itself is something I don't have a lot of attachment to, frankly. For me, it's just a term to signify the movies made by the Walt Disney Animation Studios (or Feature Animation). But my point was, there are only 50 titles, and I think all of them are popular enough to warrant a great DVD/Blu-ray release with bonus features that are actually interesting to adults. Even the package features, which I have never seen, deserve something better than the "edited for content" releases they have now.
