You can listen to the full songs here!
Don't worry, the songs are in English, even though the website is in French.
Thanks!
The only song I like is the cover of the theme. Also, "A Very Important Thing to Do" is cute. But the rest of the songs are subpar. The "Backson" song is like a badly rehashed version of "Heffalumps & Woozles".

To be fair after all the DTVs the story is slightly rehashed now too, Tigger teaching how to be a Tigger was done a bit in The Tigger Movie and finding a note, misreading, and going on an adventure for Christopher Robin was done in The Search for Christopher RobinSotiris wrote:But the rest of the songs are below par. Really? He's one of the only new voices I like, his narration in the clips seems perfect, Kanga on the other hand, voiced by Kristen Anderson-Lopez (Who co-wrote the songs) sounds terrible, and is very off putting, though Bud's Eeyore i've come to live with, and Kenny's Sponge Bob-ish Rabbit is still better than Kanga.Tristy wrote:I love John Cleese and all, but he just seems so wrong for Winnie the Pooh.

Many have blasted Eric Goldberg's Rabbit animation in the "Get Us Out Of Here!" segment for being too loose and undisciplined. Whereas I have to admit I thought the animation was a little over-the-top myself (and before reading any criticisms), it makes me a little sad how quickly some people bash respected animators' work without seeing everything in context (some have suggested that the unconventional animation may be due to Rabbit's increased anxiety, being trapped in the hole and all ...).PatrickvD wrote:And the animation? Stunning.
On an unrelated note, I can't help but make comparisons between such modest, simple animation as in the upcoming Winnie the Pooh film and the far more elaborate, clockwork precise style of animation synonymous with Richard Williams. In fact, how do you think Richard Williams would handle Pooh? I think he'd have to adopt a humbler, less show-offy approach. Williams has a thing for using incredibly complex character designs and flying cameras. That would never work for Pooh.

I know! I'm even going to Florida for a week-long Harry Potter event so I wont have time to see WTP that weekend but even so, Pooh among all Disney properties has a kiddie rep.Dream Huntress wrote:Ditto here, no way I'm gonna get anyone to watch it with me, specially when Harry Potter is out on the same weekend. It's a real shame, the movie looks so cute.ajmrowland wrote:I still think there's no way I'm gonna be able to convince anyone to go see this with me.

While Winnie the Pooh has never been one of my favorite Disney properties, I think this new movie has the potential to be very good. The clips are very cute and I just have a good feeling about it.
Besides, it's the only major 2D film being released this year in the U.S. Gotta support the art-form.
