Quick question for those who usually pre-order titles on Amazon:

I currently have a $10 credit on Amazon.com, and I see that if I were to pre-order The Incredibles with the Cars re-release as a combo pack, I can save an additional $10. So, for me, the price would be as follows:

$29.99 - The Incredibles
$24.99 - Cars (Blu-ray/DVD combo)
-------
$54.98
- $10.00 - Preordering both titles
- $10.00 - Amazon credit
-------
$34.98 or $17.49 each

Now I know that it's more than likely that the prices of probably both titles will drop on Amazon to match store prices, but what do you think those will be? Also, is it likely we'll get a coupon for The Incredibles and how much will it be for? I am assuming there will be no coupon for Cars, as it is already out on Blu-ray, and this is just a re-release as a Blu-ray/DVD combo.

I've never pre-ordered a film before, so I am trying to figure out if this is the cheapest way I'll be able to get both titles, or if I should just wait and buy them in store?

I'm holding out til The Incredibles is 20 or less. I remember for quite a long time Up, Monsters Inc., and Toy Story 4-disc sets were all hovering between 17.99-20 or something.

I imagine Cars would be priced something similarly, though I don't like Cars so I'm not interested in getting it haha.

Lol, I agree. The Incredibles is listed for $29.99 at Amazon, but what is everyone's best guess as to what the sale price will be on release week?

But the thing that makes Woody special, is he'll never give up on you... ever. He'll be there for you, no matter what.

Whoa free Cars 2 ticket sounds pretty sweet! I'm not a fan of the original Cars, but I want to see the new Toy Story short. And the DVD is in color, not boring gray yaaay!

That's what everyone is wondering. With the Tangled $5 coupon, some people are curious as to what the value of a coupon for The Incredibles would be. In the past, most (if not all) upgrade coupons were for $10. Hopefully those days are not over! :(

I'm sure there will be a $10 coupon for The Incredibles. Tangled was a brand new release, so it makes sense that they would not offer the same discount as a catalog release.

I don't remember the other Disney/Pixar DVDs having coupons though. I don't want to get my hopes up lol. If Incredibles is under 20 I'll get it.

^All the Toy Story movies plus Monster's Inc and UP had them.

I'll never forget that two-for-$12 deal on the latter.

It was actually a combination. The two coupons for UP and Monsters INC, a Target coupon for both and having Target price-match a best buy ad on one of the movies.

$60-$20 release week deals-$18 Man. coupons-$10 Target coupon=$12.52

And that was in 2009.

Don't forget stacking pre-orders at Toys R Us. It seems those good days are over. :P

Oh well, The Incredibles is my all-time favorite Pixar film so I am super ecstatic for this to come out! Although, I would love for there to be an at least $8 coupon. I remember buying A Bug's Life for $30 and do not want to go back to those days!

Only 1 week to go until this release! :o

No word on a coupon, but Target's prices have been posted over at Blu-ray.com:
The Incredibles $26.99
Cars $22.99
Cars gift set $24.99 (comes with toy cars, I think this was available previously)

Also, Amazon currently has a deal going on through the end of May for $10 off when you order The Incredibles and Cars together. If we don't get a coupon, this may end up being the cheapest route once Amazon price adjusts to match in-store prices. Currently The Incredibles is listed at $29.99 and Cars at $24.99.

If you discover pricing for other stores, please share!
