I'm guessing the disappointing box office returns on Down Under dragged the original Rescuers down with it in the company's mind. The original made a decent amount of money when it was released and with the 2 reissues in the 80s. ($189,738,060 lifetime total adjusted for general inflation, split gross for years where applicable. That's more than Mermaid's $184,845,190 adjusted lifetime total. Sources: 1 2 3)

Really? Well, Amazon told me yesterday my BD would be shipped with slip. I don't trust 100%, but I'm having faith! =] i'll make sure to inform when I get it!monorail91 wrote:The DVD-sized box for the Snow White diamond edition has no slipcover from Amazon....I found that out when I ordered for discount with Beauty and the Beast

Amazon ships from a warehouse there is NO way their customer service (who is mostly outsourced) is going to go through to make sure you have a cardboard sleve on your Blu Ray - your best suggestion is to go out and get one yourself. I've seen a slip on every Disney Blu Ray still outside of the Narnias.pick wrote:Really? Well, Amazon told me yesterday my BD would be shipped with slip. The problem is that I live in Brazil, so Amazon's the way I have to get my movies. I have the brazilian edition of Snow White with slipcover, but really wanted the US edition... let's see! =)CampbellzSoup wrote:Amazon ships from a warehouse there is NO way their customer service (who is mostly outsourced) is going to go through to make sure you have a cardboard sleve on your Blu Ray - your best suggestion is to go out and get one yourself. That's really nice! Thanks a lot! =]CampbellzSoup wrote:why the US verison is so freaking ulgy, and in the future order on the week that it comes out to ensure you get the cover. Otherwise you're going with a shot in the air, or you could ask one of us to ship you one if you really want it.
yes, all other releases after SW I ordered on release date, except PatF and Fantasia, but I have both coming in the mail...

Also, I assume the list is remaining Disney films with a combo pack?
Disney should just release films rather than doing this.

I really, really hope this is true! I just started collecting the Pixar films and am waiting to get each as a Blu-ray/DVD combo. After Cars comes out on 4/12, the only ones I'm waiting for are the two listed above, and of course, Finding Nemo, if that ever comes to Blu-ray.jrboy wrote:Ratatouille, Wall-E, and UP are now listed for release on July 5th.
Where did you find this information? I searched on Amazon but they don't have product pages up yet.
I think WALL-E was only available as a Blu-ray/Digital copy combo. I couldn't find a Blu-ray/DVD combo listed anywhere and because of that I haven't gotten it yet.CampbellzSoup wrote:The releases we have for those two, up and Wall E don't they already come in combo packs?? No idea, but my releases of those are complete - none swoosh slip arleady unlike pirates :\

Up, just like Monsters, Inc. and Toy Story 3, should just be dropping the digital copy. Wall-E is dropping the digital copy and adding a dvd copy. Ratatouille is just adding a DVD copy.CampbellzSoup wrote:The releases we have for those two, up and Wall E don't they already come in combo packs?? I'm fine with that...digital copy is a nice perk but certainly not a necessity for me at least. I hardly ever watch video on my iPod.jrboy wrote:Up, just like Monsters, Inc. and Toy Story 3, should just be dropping the digital copy. Wall-E is dropping the digital copy and adding a dvd copy.
