Everyone, please pay attention to this. Avoid the remake of "Arthur" if you don't want to waste your money. If you feel like you just have to see this no-talent Russell Brand in a horrible movie, then don't say you have not been warned.
At an advanced Studio Preview this past week more than half of the people who were in the theater walked out on the movie. The "critic" card that you are given to fill out after the movie found more people disgusted with the movie because they have change the whole story, and Brand is not Dudley Moore, who made this role his own.
Rent or better yet, go buy the original "Arhtur" with Dudley Moore and Liza Minnelli and John Gielgud in a very good movie with music from Christopher Cross.
I wish I could organize a boycott of this film and force the theaters to only run it for one week. This movie is terrible.

I'm actually more interested in films coming out starting in May with "Thor" on the top of that list. If I had to pick an April film, um, I'd have to say "African Cats."

Rio is the only movie I'm genuinely excited about seeing this April (especially considering this is the movie that made them axe Newt which I was so eager to see), and I might actually see it in theatres. Your Highness interests me mainly for the cast, and if the reviews are decent I'll rent this one. Hop looks awful but I heard Chelsea Handler was cast in this one and I'm very curious to see how she fares acting in a children's film. I might rent this one also, but I'll probably just try and find her scenes.
Sad to hear Arthur is so bad. I caught the original for the first time about a month ago and thought it was wonderful. I didn't think the remake would be very good judging from the trailers, but I had hoped that if Helen Mirren had chosen to do it, there would have to be something redeeming about the feature. Oh well. Perhaps a rental to see for myself in the future, though.

Hop I sorta have an interest to go see...My girlfriend Might make me take her to that....
Rio I will for sure see since it's going to be in the only 3D theater of Showplace 10 Matoon and I look forward to that
And I might go see Paul with my Dad....which I realize is not a part of April New Movies but I didn't see it due to lack of finances...

I really want to see "Source Code" and "Rio". Those two are jumping off the charts for me after seeing the trailers for each in the theater. And I probably will go see "Your Highness" because it looks like it might be a pretty funny movie.
