It's nice to see somthing new. I'm very pleased to see Vidia finally making an appearence in a Pixie Preview, it's nice to see them putting a focus on somone other than the usual four, Cheese and Blaze.

Watching the trailer for this movie on one of my other Disney DVDs, I noticed that the character of Lizzy seemed decidedly different from how she was shown in the final film, and there seemed to be a different plot involving a farmhouse ..... does anyone know anything about this ? Was the movie rewritten quite far into the production ?

I didn't really rate the last movie. I thought the voice actress on the human girl, and the voice of the father for that matter, was very wooden and poorly performed, and found it to be quite grating very quickly.

Worst of the bunch - hopefully the next one will be an improvement.

Oh, I adored it ! I thought it was a wonderful, beautiful film. MY favourite of the bunch so far, especially as it gave more room for the other fairys, along with Tink.

It just didn't really work for me at all, yet I quite enjoyed the first two.

But then seeing that Wikipedia also show the release date as being Feb. 8th 2011 I'm not sure how true this is.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tinker_Bel ... nter_Woods
Blu-ray.com also has the same date listed.

I forgot where I read about the Race/Winter swap but it was a news site, not a forum or blog

BUMP!

Coming Fall 2011: TinkerBell and the Pixie Hollow Games

This is the next TinkerBell movie which was tentatively called "Race Through the Seasons". Apparently, they swapped release dates with "The Mysterious Winter Woods".

<iframe title="YouTube video player" width="640" height="390" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/j6WHg_WfIjU" frameborder="0"></iframe>

I found the trailer on the forum Disney Central Plaza. It was on the French Tangled Blu-ray.

I find the swap very weird. Doesn't it make more sense to continue the cycle of seasons and then have an overall film that will include all four? How can you have the overall film Pixie Hollow Games (previously titled Race Through the Seasons) after the "Autumn Story" and then have the "Winter Story"? The only reason I can think of is that The Mysterious Winter Woods was facing story problems and they needed more time to fix the movie.

Also, what does it mean the "Coming to TV" it says in the trailer? :?
That it will debut on Disney Channel first prior to its DVD/Blu-ray release?

I don't know about the coming to TV bit... have the previous films been to TV in France before blu-ray? Hmm...

Anyways, I'm really, really disappointed in the name change. Race Through The Seasons seems much more in line with the rest of the series... Pixie Hollow Games seems cheap.

What a surprise! Internet Movie Database always said that this would be a TV film... I guess they were right. I'd love to see that trailer in better quality!

If you look at 0:15 the fairy on the far left is Lyria (the story-teller from Lost Treasure).

Thanks for the trailer! I hope we can get the English-speaking version soon.

So, what's up with this "Coming to TV" thing? Why are they making it a made-for-TV movie instead of releasing it on home video? This is odd.

Wait, what's going on!? I'm so confused! So they not only switched the release date, but it's going to be TV release!? WHY?

Well, at least it looks REALLY freaking cool. I think it's pretty epic (and yay for Vidia being added to main cast). But... I still think that Mysterious Winter Woods was more intriguing, and I really wanted to see that one first....

That said, if they're moving to television instead of DTV... then do you think they will be making more than 5 now? Because I would really like to see more Tink...

According to UD's review of the Tangled combo pack, on the Blu-ray there are trailers both for Tinker Bell and the Pixie Hollow Games and for Tinker Bell and the Mysterious Winter Woods.

Isn't it odd that they're promoting two TinkerBell movies at the same time? :?

I'm glad myself. I wouldn't buy it, but I'd watch it on the Disney channel.

And maybe they're trying to move away from anything labeled "DTV." It has a bad connotation. "Made for TV" would probably draw less hate.

So Tangled has trailers for both Pixie Hollow Games and The Mysterious Winter Woods.. except it said "look out for the new movie event" or something similar after Winter Woods. Very strange marketing on these two films.

Wikipedia (and I know its not the most reliable source but still) has now been updated to say the release dates of the two Tinkerbell movies have been switched.

Now Pixie Hollow Games is slated to be the fourth film in the series and will be the movie for 2011 and then Winter Woods will be the final sequel in the series coming out supposedly in Winter 2012 (for Christmas).

I find this really strange and also a very bad sign after all the stuff that went down with Enchanted Tales (changed titles, release dates, etc). Really dont want the Tinkerbell saga going down in flames like that series did.

I also am hoping they will release a sixth film. Maybe its just cause I'm a bit of a Star Wars fan but five movies in a saga just doesn't sound right to me.

I want a sixth film where the series is tied across to Peter Pan in which Tink finds the baby Peter and chooses to raise him. That would make me so happy :D They could call it Tinkerbell and the Lost boy(s) or something like that :D

Disney Fairies encourages six-to-nine year old girls to explore and discover exciting new worlds across multiple platforms including: three Disney Fairies direct-to-video films reaching 30 million viewers each; dedicated air time on Disney Channel for the Disney Fairies films reaching an incremental 21 million viewers per quarter; Pixie Previews short-form content on Disney Channel which airs an average of 700 times per year; the DisneyFairies.com website and the virtual world of Pixie Hollow which together are visited by 20 million girls each year.

And beginning next month, avid readers and fans will enjoy new stories via Disney Fairies digi-comics, plus a new Disney Channel special releasing this fall, Disney's Tinker Bell and the Pixie Hollow Games. Moving into 2012, Disney Fairies will debut unified branding across the company.

Isn't it odd that they didn't mention TinkerBell and the Mysterious Winter Woods for 2012?
