Well, you can hardly deny she shaved her head and I believe she went into rehab five times, and that she fought a very bitter divorce. It was on all the talkshows (Letterman, Leno, Maher), so you could hardly miss it. And of course I immediately googled the 'inappropriate' pictures.
I remember Britney being the laughing stock of all the comedians for a while. I was very impressed when Craig Fergusson did a bit in which he explained why he was *not* going to kick Britney when she was down. He then told how he had struggled with alcohol himself (like Britney did). I admired him for not kicking her when she was down.
So we're supposed to write the film off because people didn't recognize her as Hannah? I guess we have to write off the show too then since Lilly and Oliver didn't see it either. You do know much of what you say about the film applies to the show as well.
Okay, you got me there. You're right. However, Miley got almost busted when she was singing in the show. In the movie, not.
If I'm not mistaking, weren't some people shown giving looks during the Hoedown Throwdown in that there was something familiar about it? (Barry Bostwick's character?) It was subtle and not made a major plot point (It was only a 1 hour 42 minute film, how major of a plot point did that need to be?)

I’ve never been crazy about her music, but I always did feel sorry for her during all that. To me, the tabloids were exploiting her situation to sell themselves.
Still, I don't see that as representative of what's to come for every tween that Disney temporarily takes advantage of for money. Besides the fact that all that happened to her years after she left Disney, and probably has more to do with fame in general than Disneycorp, she's only one star that's went down that path.
Listening to most often lately:
Taylor Swift ~ ~ "The Fate of Ophelia"
Taylor Swift ~ "Eldest Daughter"
Taylor Swift ~ "CANCELLED!"

It could be that some people were giving looks, but still I can't recall it. However, I do recall that Billy Ray Cyrus was the only one who was practically upset about Miley performing that song. Barry Bostwick's character looked rather threatning than suspicious.

Hmm, that's weird. It's showing for me. It's a picture of Miley making some sort of troll face, done in Super Aurora-style. Making weird faces seems to be her special talent.
