It kind of sucks that they're releasing them separately only as single disc releases. I only want the first two movies but I also want all the extras for each movie. I guess I have to wait even longer.

Originally that was what I thought. I was only a fan of the first two movies, but when I picked up Alien Quadrilogy and watched the director's cut of both Alien3 and Alien Resurrection I realized that, although not comparable to the first two films, they were not that bad. Plus all the extra added features made them seem even more impressive.

I thought that when the set would ever come to Blu-ray that we would get a choice of which ones we wanted with single issues of the films, but when I saw and read what they did with the Quadrilogy and bringing all the extras from the LaserDiscs as well as the DVD to the Blu-ray edition I figured it was going to be a very high-priced item, and resigned myself to just own the standard defnition.

When Alien Anthology was released to the public, our local Ultimate Electronics had it on sale for $79.99, so I took my Best Buy Reward Zone Certificates and the ad to Best Buy and picked it up for just $59.99, and I haven't regretted it.

I went on Craigslist and sold my Quadrilogy for more than what I paid for the Blu-ray Legacy and so I am a happy camper.

I have watched all four movies, the first two are above and beyond the second two, but still it is a great set to own because of the fifth and sixth discs that have hours and hours of extras. And, as stated previously, this is the only way to get the commentary from Sigourney Weaver on Alien.

Give it some thought, but I think that you will be happy you bought the whole thing rather than just the first two movies.
The only way to watch movies - Original Aspect Ratio!!!!
I LOVE my Blu-Ray Disc Player!

Since all of the bonus features of all four movies were put onto two Blu-rays, you might have to wait forever. Or buy the separate DVD editions.

Amazon UK has had the set for a really good price recently ($40ish shipped to the US). Its region free, and works great in US players. The packaging is different now. They recently switched to a large Blu-ray case that holds all the discs, with an outer slip case. The older release was a fold out style packaging.
