While I'm sure we would love to get Exclusives every month from DMC, at least we are seeing signs that they have not given up on DMC Exclusives as an avenue to release their older live-action material on pressed DVDs and that is very encouraging!
I own the following DMC Exclusives: Rob Roy, The Story of Robin Hood, Kidnapped, The Fighting Prince of Donegal, Treasure of Matecumbe, So Dear to My Heart, Tonka, Big Red, and The Sword and the Rose.
Since they have a buy 1 at regular price and get 50% off additional DVDs or Blu-ray discs plus free shipping, I think I will pick up Westward Ho, The Wagons!, The Littlest Outlaw, Almost Angels, and A Tiger Walks this month. Any other DMC Exclusives you folks would recommend I purchase?
Thank you DMC for the Exclusives you've released so far! Please keep the pipeline flowing! I would love to see The Prince and the Pauper, The Light in the Forest, and the various Disney anthology series like The Tales of Texas John Slaughter, Daniel Boone, The Nine Lives of Elfego Baca, The Swamp Fox, The Saga of Andy Burnett, The New Adventures of Davy Crockett, and Gallegher be released as DMC Exclusives.

DMV Exclusives
Thanks, Disney!!!!!
Sammy the Way Out Seal, plus Charley and the Angel would be nice, too. Oh, and Emil and the Detectives and the other titles available for online viewing on Disney.com.
Darby, another Exclusives title I enjoyed was Horse without a Head

Also I would like to see this released on DVD

and the Tv Series that goes along with it that apparently only lasted 5 episodes

I recently watched Charley and the Angel on Hallmark Movie Channel, and I liked it very much. It was cropped, edited, and full of commercials, but it was a good movie. It was in the vein of other Disney 70's titles (car chase and all), but it was a 1930's period piece rather than comtemporary like the other titles it reminded me of. I'd love for DMC Exclusives to release it.skippy wrote:I am hoping for the following:
The Light in the Forest
The Bears and I
Charley and the Angels
One of Our Dinosaurs is Missing
The Sign of Zorro
With those I would have every Disney theatrical from the Ultimate Disney classic era (pre-1980) on DVD.

Strange Monster of Strawberry Cove would be nice as well, was kind of the sequel to Secrets of the Pirates Inn.
also The Kids Who Knew Too Much was a really cute 80s Disney caper with Sharon Gless.

The mailer lists it as FS, and the website says 1.33:1, so that's very disappointing. I beileve the online and print catalogs listed incorrect aspect ratios for Exclusives in the past, so there is still hope that it is widescreen. They are very inconsistent, however. While some are correctly 1.33:1, many Exclusive titles are cropped, some are anamorphic widescreen such as The Incredible Journey, and some are non-anamorphic widescreen such as Condorman. Westward Ho The Wagons most definitely should have been widescreen given it was made in Cinemascope.disneyfella wrote:I'm nervous that they will crop Westward Ho the Wagons and not present it in the full Cinemascope aspect ratio. As soon as someone finds out any info can they post it?

westward ho!!
is this copy of WESTWARD HO THE WAGONS! the original theatrical print? the vhs print that has been issued before is incomplete. This is the same print being shown online as well. I believe that this is the edited version that was shown on the anthology tv show. It lacks some scenes and omits the song "Wringle Wrangle".
