Do you have a comprehensive list of the LD features that have not made it to DVD/Blu-Ray?
No - but I think there's a Laser Disc thread around here that lists bonus features that didn't make it to DVD/Blu. I can't remember the thread title though...

I think that's incomplete. Do you have a LD player?

I just thought that the only reason one would keep holding onto LDs would be because of that.

Then again you do have the VHSes still.

Did you burn them to a hard drive? Disc rot and all.

I'm missinggggg:

Saludos Amigos
The Three Caballeros
Make Mine Music
Fun and Fancy Free
Melody Time
Chicken Little
Tangled

So I've got 43 out of 50. Not too shabby. :) I've been thinking about picking up The Three Caballeros because it's at Toys R Us for like $12. And I'll have Tangled on release day.

As for Pixar, got them all.
I forgot, add #51 to the list too; Winnie the Pooh, which will be out later this year. :)

Only Missing:
Saludos Amigos
The Three Caballeros
Make Mine Music
Fun and Fancy Free
Melody Time
The Many Adventures of Winnie The Pooh
The Rescuers
The Rescuers Down Under
Tangled
Winnie The Pooh

Though I don't think we'll ever have a complete collection, as like Disney Land, as long as there's imagination we'll always be adding to new additions to the canon

My family has almost all of them, but now that I'm out of the house (at college), I have a duty to get them all for myself and enlighten my roommates.

So far I've gotten:

Snow White
Fantasia
Bambi (well, I've pre-ordered Diamond Edition)
Cinderella
Alice in Wonderland
Sleeping Beauty
The Fox and the Hound
The Little Mermaid
Beauty and the Beast
Aladdin
The Lion King
Pocahontas
Fantasia 2000
Atlantis: The Lost Empire
Meet the Robinsons
Tangled (pre-ordered)

And as much as I'd like to collect them all, I realistically wouldn't watch all of them. There are some I don't watch that much, like Robin Hood and the Aristocats, and others that are simply unwatchable IMO, like Chicken Little and the Black Cauldron.

I have been trying to complete the set for a while now. I have 45/50 missing only:
Fun and Fancy Free
Make Mine Music
Melody Time
Dinosaur
Tangled (obviously)

Been holding out either for a good deal or the vain hope of uncensored versions of the above movies. I also have all of the Pixar releases and several live action movies.

I want to collect them all to say I will eventually say I have the first 50, but to be perfect blunt ..... I dont like all of them. It just kind of feels like I'm throwing money away.

I had all of the Animated Classics that were released on VHS (Snow White to Home on the Range), except for Saludos Amigos. However, since I've been upgrading to Blu-ray/DVD, I've been getting rid of each release on VHS as I upgrade by donating the tapes to a thrift store.

Counting VHS and Blu-ray/DVD together, the only titles I am missing are:

Saludos Amigos
Chicken Little
Meet the Robinsons (will be getting the Blu-ray/DVD combo pack)
Bolt
Tangled (will be getting the Blu-ray/DVD combo pack)

So that is 45/50 DAC films for me. The only one I haven't watched in its entirety is The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh. :o

9. Fun and Fancy Free
10. Melody Time
11. The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad

30. Beauty and the Beast
31. Aladdin

37. Tarzan
39. Dinosaur
40. The Emperor's New Groove
41. Atlantis: The Lost Empire

And of course, 50. Tangled

35/50
I plan to obtain those remaining 15.

I'm missing:

5. Bambi (Waiting for the Diamond Blu-Ray Combo to arrive in the post!)
6. Saludos Amigos
7. The Three Caballeros
8. Make Mine Music
9. Fun and Fancy Free
15. Lady and the Tramp
22. The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh
29. The Rescuers Down Under
38. Fantasia 2000 (Will be pre-ordering the Blu-Ray-Released in UK in March)
39. Dinosaur
41. Treasure Planet
45. Home on the Range
46. Chicken Little
50. Tangled (Will be pre-ordering this without a doubt!!!)

I will eventually own all 50 Animated Features on Blu-Ray/DVD, however a few on this list I've put off buying simply because I don't really like them i.e. Dinosaur and Chicken Little though when I do eventually get around to purchasing them I guess I shall give them another viewing. I got into collecting Disney DVDs a few years late and by that time Bambi and Lady and the Tramp had been vaulted and I always planned to track down used copies but just never got around to it, hence their appearance (I have all the other Platinums, and all Diamonds thus far). I'm actually really excited for Bambi to arrive cause I haven't watched it since childhood, also because I ordered it together with Alice on Blu I got £10 off bargain! :D I'm sooo excited to add Tangled to my collection, might have to have a Disney fairy tale marathon! I can get the others just whenever really, they're all relatively cheap so I think I will plan to buy a couple every now and then till I have them.
I love The Little Mermaid and Ariel

We, my girls and I, had almost all of them at one point but lost some when my wife and I seperated. We currently have 40/50 which doesn't include my Lilo & Stitch which sprouted legs and walked away. I'm attempting to get the 2-disc releases of some of the movies however and get better versions of others and we also want the Fantasia Blu-Ray combo so we can get Destino.

Anyways, we're missing the following on DVD...
The Rescuers
The Black Cauldron
The Rescuers Down Under
Hercules - would like something better than gold collection
The Emperor's New Groove
Dinosaur
Lilo & Stitch - have the Big Wave Edition somewhere
Treasure Planet
Bolt
Tangled

Pixar: We need to re-get Finding Nemo and Cars.
Disney Treasures: We have all 30 releases.

Thought I might as well update my list of missing titles since I've gained a few since I posted :)

<STRIKE>5. Bambi
6. Saludos Amigos
7. The Three Caballeros</STRIKE>
8. Make Mine Music
<STRIKE>9. Fun and Fancy Free</STRIKE>
15. Lady and the Tramp
22. The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh
29. The Rescuers Down Under
38. Fantasia 2000 (Will be pre-ordering the Blu-Ray-Released in UK in March)
39. Dinosaur
<STRIKE>41. Treasure Planet</STRIKE>
45. Home on the Range
46. Chicken Little
50. Tangled (Will be pre-ordering this without a doubt!!!)

I plan on importing Make Mine Music relatively soon thus completing y package films, The Rescuers Down Under and Home on the Range will likely be my next two Disney purchases (I haven't even seen the latter). Dinosaur and Chicken Little will be Blu-Ray purchases was kind of hoping they would be getting Combo re-releases (without the awful swish on the cover) but I guess that's unlikely. Tramp and Pooh are both OOP but to my knowledge will be both be receiving Blu-Ray treatments soon, so all is good! I will get there eventually, plus to top it off Alice just arrived today on Blu so I have that to watch :)

Not sure if these are available in the UK, but in the USA, Dinosaur and Chicken Little were both just re-released as combo packs without the "swoosh" on 2/8/11. In fact, a bunch of the Disney titles were re-released as combos on that day. I already picked up Enchanted and am looking forward to getting Meet the Robinsons in April for my birthday.

Hmm that's very interesting, thanks for that information! Unfortunately I can't find anything about that in the UK and neither has gone OOP so I'm assuming that's not happening over here unfortunaltey :( I wonder, could you tell me whether they're region locked, if they weren't like I know some recent Disney releases aren't for example my Bambi Blu-Ray is good for all!

Everyone of them...
except for Meet the Robbinsons.

I just don't care for the look/style of the movie..
I must admit I have yet to see any large portion of it though,
can anyone here convince me to sit through this movie

It's not Disney's greatest, but the tie-in with the Walt Disney quote makes the entire movie. I had to stop myself tearing up at the end, to be honest. If you have any kind of "dream" that you're aspiring to, it's a great film.

I’ve tried forever to find Tarzan on Collector’s Edition, but I’ve had no luck there. All its other releases weren’t that good, so I didn’t buy them. I’ve been saving money, and that’s the only reason I haven’t got Pinocchio and Sleeping Beauty on Blu-Ray (don’t care about SW). I’m waiting for Dumbo to get a good/decent release, so I haven’t bought anything for that either. Waiting for Hunchback and TGMD to come to Blu-Ray. Other movies I don’t care as much about (The Rescuers, The Aristocats) I’ll get down the road when I have money to spare. Don’t ever plan to own Chicken Little.

I have nearly all of them on VHS (from childhood). I’ve bought all the DVDs/Blu-Rays myself though.

Pixar: Up, WALL E, Finding Nemo, The Incredibles and Monsters, Inc. on DVD (my mom bought those, because I wouldn’t have except maybe the last two)

Ghibli: Porco Rosso, Princess Mononoke, The Cat Returns, Howl's Moving Castle, Spirited Away, Nausicaa, Castle in the Sky, I have Kiki, Ponyo and Whisper of the Heart on VHS, so they had to wait. I really need to get The Castle of Cagliostro though--I've seen that, and didn't expect I would like it, but it was awesome.
