It will probably be bigger than Toy Story 3 in Japan. I'm guessing between $130 to $200 million, so $700 million worldwide could be possible.

Rapunzel also has grossed more than Toy Story 3 in Germany and France (once the totals are updated I'm sure).

LOVE the Japanese posters! Much more classy and beautiful than the American/European posters.

I do think Tangled will make a splash in Japan, although i believe that $130 to $200 million is an exaggeration. But, we can always hope!;)

Btw, saw Tangled for the third time at the cinema today, this time for the first time in English. And it was lovely! (Although the Norwegian Disney-dubs almost always are very good, it's extra special to hear the original actors.)
Favorite Disney-movies: Snow White, Cinderella, Alice in Wonderland, Sleeping Beauty, The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, Pocahontas, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Hercules, Mulan, Tarzan, Tangled, Frozen, Pirates, Enchanted, Prince of Persia, Tron, Oz The Great and Powerful

Yeah...that number clearly isn't adjusted. There's no way this movie is near Aladdin and The Lion King.

Those posters are nice though--especially Gothel's.

I don't know how to adjust for inflation for worldwide gross but for domestic gross Tangled would need to beat Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs which grossed $873,090,000 compared to The Lion King's $618,626,700. Aladdin adjusted is only $420,063,200 but Tangled is only on $194,104,000

yeah... although these numbers are already impressive on their own, it makes me think how big the Renaissance films were. I was born in 1989 so I wouldn't have a clue haha.

LOL at her asking about what stars really are. Too bad she doesn't know they're really "suns"- gigantic ball of hot gas.

Japan does it again.

All three of these have got to be the most beautiful Disney movie posters that I've seen in a long time. I just wish I could see something like this in the US.

And I seriously want that Mother Gothel poster. No, I'm serious. I want that poster... STAT!
